Mausam was expected to open slow at the box office and it has. On Friday morning, the Shahid Kapoor starrer, opened to 40% collections all over India and while business did pick up for the noon and evening shows, the response from the audience is mixed.
The critic reviews have been average too with Pankaj Kapur’s directorial debut scoring 49 out of 100 on our Mausam Review page (out of the 12 reviews that we have received so far).
Mausam is expected to fare well over the weekend, but the mixed word-of-mouth remains a concern. The weekend total is likely to be in the 15 – 17 crore range.
Mausam Hit / Flop Prediction : At best an above average grosser.

I don’t know why everyone is bashing this film.
I understand everyone has their own opinion, but when their opinion begins to hurt others., it’s not cool.
I see a lot of people saying the Shahid is a FLOP actor. I don’t understand why?
Anyone who has seen this film will full on know that Shahid is a very capable actor. I can compare him to many great actors. His acting is his passion and dedication. His acting is also very sober and mature, not amateur and childish like a few people in the industry who I wish not to name. Also, unlike many people he can dance, dance with his soul, heart, and mind.
Shahid is a superstar.
Mausam is a realistic love story. It shows that not every time you can have mutual love and gain it right away. There is the thing called complications or problems. No one has a perfect life, and no one can ever be happy all the time. This movie depicts the struggles their love had to face.
The first half of the movie was classic, with the most elegance in it. Sonam justifies her role excellently.
Agreed, the other half was a bit stretched, but either way it leaves you with a wonderful feeling. I went home, both times, from the theater with a satisfied smile on my face. This is truly a one of a class love story.
Movie was nice but it is just like tourist here n there nothng .But the direction was nice of each & every part acting of the both caracter was doing nice /reality .But the entry of the sonam kapoors not good & the stupid scean was the last one who saved the child.Even if all the persons did well & naturally.
1st half is awesome… overall it’s a beautiful love story..
