Both Khoobsurat and Daawat-e-Ishq dropped on Monday, with business declining by almost 70% from Sunday. The poor opening and clash has meant that both films will eventually flop even though Khoobsurat is carrying decent word-of-mouth.
The YRF film has collected Rs 15.63 cr in 4 days and should collect around 20 crore in its first week at the box office. Disney’s Khoobsurat has collected Rs 13.15 cr so far, first week business is likely to be around 16 cr.

box office is just “idiot” Dawat e Ishq is a good film.. many good films flopped for different reasons over the years.. I remember that I saw a nice film for Akshay Khanna ( Doli Saja ki Rakhna) and I still watch it when they show on tv, I saw it many times, it was Priyadarshan’s direction, music was so nice when it released ( A R Rahman), a good story, a good direction (except the comedy scenes) but it also didn’t work.. why some good films don’t work at the box office.. and why sometimes some bad bad bad bad crap films do work?!!! I just don’t get it!!!
An example: Welcome.. was such a bad film but it was a super hit!!!! if someone would say that Welcome was a good film.. so that “proves” how bad taste some ppl have for sure!!!
