Bollywood superstar Salman Khan passed a insensitive joke on Kapil Sharma’s Comedy Nights with Kapil, which upset his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif.
Salman had spotted packets of firecrackers with Katrina’s pictures on the sets of the show. He asked Kapil “What purpose does it serve to have her picture around? She is of no use to you.”
The actor later added ”She was of no use to me also”
When Katrina was asked about Salman’s comment on the show, she said “The base of my relationship with Salman was correct, it was true. Which is why we are still able to be friends. But he lives in a parallel universe, always making these jokes about me publicly, which get the media really kicked”
“Like the comment he made on Kapil’s show when he saw my pictures on a set of crackers. ‘She is of no use to me’! I called him and yelled at him. I can do that, it is the sort of equation we have. He said, ‘Okay sorry I will apologize to the media’. I told him to do no such thing and maintain a dignified silence if that is possible”
What more can you expect from Salman? Doesn’t respect girls.. which is why no girl sticks with him.
What does he even mean by ‘She was of no use to me’?? Cheap comment. Shows that he wasn’t taught to respect women in his childhood.
I like Salman’s charity stuff, but Salman is now 50 year old. He should show some maturity. I’m not even a fan of Katrina, but she’s right. No matter what Katrina has done to me, Salman should be more respectful towards women. These jokes might be fun for live audience, but they are really cheap and can hurt the sentiments of other people. That’s a complaint I used to have for Kapil, too. But, he’s toned down now. Salman might have launched her, which she has acknowledged many times, but it doesn’t mean Salman ‘owns’ her to make jokes on her in public.
Those type of cheap comments don’t suit on him.
Salman is a great person, why should he care about Katrina. He saved her career, otherwise she would be doing films like Boom.
Girls in India love Salman, most eligible bachelor in Bollywood. Not like some hooligan who abuses elderly guard in front of his children, in a public stadium.

Girls feel so dejected when for no reason they are mocked at. I don’t know what really happened but if what she says is true then it’s good she told Salman Sir her feeling post his comments. He apologies thats all no fuss in it esp the fact he wanted to apologize publicly. I remembered during the shooting of Ishq (Aamir Ajay Juhi! Kajol starrer). Something like this happened between Juhi Ma’am (my best all time female actress) and Aamir Sir, for years(more than 15years) they did not talk till of recent. Film industry is a professional platform to entertain the public. The public have their fans and idols so it’s important Professionalism is preserved and adhered with to a reasonable extent.

That was really a cheap comment by Salman. I think Katrina chosing Ranbir over him makes him feel rejected and he just cannot get over it. Even today Salman fans bash Ranbir due to it. That is so lame. Salman looks and acts macho but saying that about a girl in public is such a loser attitude.
