Katrina Kaif talks about her love life: Photos

The much-discussed relationship between Ranbir Kapoor and his live-in partner Katrina Kaif has been seeing some ups and downs lately. A few days back, Katrina was stated by a magazine saying, “I’m not as close to Ranbir’s family as I’d like to be”

At the trailer launch of her upcoming film ‘Fitoor’, Katrina was asked if she was the lucky one to have been able to find selfless love, she said “The back of my head wants to believe that I am. But the front of my head says be careful”

Katrina was asked a lot of questions with regards to her love life. She was also asked about the most difficult thing she has to face when in love in real life, for which the actress replied “It depends who you are in love with. In love, the opposition either comes from an outside force or comes from the person you are in love with. Every relationship and every love story has its own conflict and has different conflicts. Sometimes it can be the conflict of the third party, or conflict of uncertainty, or conflict of afraid of commitment, it can be so many conflicts. So it all depends upon who you are in love with.”

Another question pertained to whether she had to derive experiences from her own life to play the character of a tormented lover, Katrina’s response to that was, “Yes, but it is not that you literally translate everything from your own life onto film. But yes, you can use moments of pain in your life to depict that if you need to show that in a film, or moments of happiness or moments of great love you felt, or great sorrow, you can use those moments but doesn’t necessarily mean that it has to be exactly the same circumstance.”

While on-topic questions from the media were few and far in between, someone did ask her about her work relationship with acclaimed actress Tabu.

“The hardest thing in this film was pretending that Tabu is my mother; she does not look like my mother from any angle, she is like a friend. I enjoyed the days we spent together in the film”

“She is one of the warmest people and who is so down to earth. She is a phenomenal actress so, whenever you are in front of her, you should remember you should not get lost in her performance but, to contribute to it. We have been fortunate she was gracious enough to step in” Katrina added.

Talking about her role, Katrina said: “For me the most important thing was to try and understand this girl’s (her character) mind… she has always been a complicated character is she manipulative, is she like that? .. for whatever reasons …we spent a lot of time discussing trying to give a life our interpretation to this character.”

Also starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Aditi Rao Hydari, Lara Dutta and Rahul Bhatt, ‘Fitoor’ will hit theaters on February 12.
