Filmmaker Kabir Khan will shoot his next directorial venture ‘Zookeeper’, a travel-related drama film, in the western Chinese city of Chengdu and in the mountains of the region.
The movie is one of the latest additions to the expanding Chinese-Indian portion of the production slate of Trinity Pictures, franchise feature film studio of Eros International Media Ltd.
‘Zookeeper’ will be co-produced with China Peacock Mountain and Chinese state-owned firm Huaxia Distribution. The screenplay has been approved by Chinese government censors.
The film is expected to go on the floors in 2018.
Kabir Khan awaits the release of his third film with Salman Khan. Titled ‘Tubelight’, the film also stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu.

Kabir Khan’s films always deal with cross border issues . I hope Tubelight strikes a chord with people because of content and direction . Because of BB there are huge expectations from Kabir and Salman . Honestly the teaser of Tubelight was plain average and the Radio song was unbearable because of bad singing, bad dancing and bad lyrics . The trailer will be released on 25th May and I hope we will get a clear idea about the plot of the movie and characters . If am not wrong then its a Web Series, recently in an interview Kabir said that after Tubelight he will be doing a Web series which is based on India-China relationship just like Tubelight……I think it is the same thing, so no big actor in Zookeeper since its a Web series……
I want Kabir to direct Aamir or SRK in a movie.
