Initially announced for theatrical release during the Valentine’s Day weekend in February 2015, Dibakar Banerjee’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshy has been pushed ahead to April 10 2015.
Sources say, the makers announced the release date before the schedule of the upcoming Cricket World Cup was announced. The release of the film would coincide with the India vs Pakistan match, which would make an impact on the business of the film.
Detective Byomkesh Bakshy is based on the adventures of Byomkesh Bakshy. The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Anand Tiwari and Swastika Mukherjee.

I think it is a good decision . Dibakar Banerjee is a brilliant director . He has given brilliant movies like Oye Lucky Lucky Oye and Khosla Ka Ghosla . I have not seen Shanghai and LSD . All the Best to Sushant . Although the teaser does not reveal much but it is a Detective Genre which i really like and is thrilling . Let’s hope this time YRF delivers a solid movie .
