Force 2 Friday (Day 1) Box Office Collections

John Abraham’s Force 2 has collected Rs 6.05 crore on its opening day at the box office, which is a decent total as long as the film manages to show growth on Saturday and Sunday.

Demonetisation or cash-crunch did impact business at smaller centres, but the impact has lessened in the last few days. While ‘Rock On 2’ could have lost around 30% of its business, the business of Force 2 was probably hit by around 10-15%.

The first day business of Force 2 is lower than John’s last film ‘Rocky Handsome’ which released on a national holiday (Good Friday) and collected Rs 7.16 crore. However, ‘Force 2’ has managed a much better opening, both because it did not get holiday advantage and the fact that people are unwilling to spend and holding onto cash at the moment.

The reports from theatres is good, so there is hope that ‘Force 2’ could grow on Saturday and put up a strong total on Sunday. If Sunday can get closer to the 10 crore mark, it would be a good trend and the film could hold well on Monday too.

IndicineFBO: We predicted Rs 5.8 crore as the opening day collections of Force 2, the film has collected Rs 6.05 crore. The difference between our prediction and the actual collection is 4%. Accurate.
