The India collections of The Jungle Book on its 15th day is now nearly double as compared to Shah Rukh Khan’s FAN, which has crashed once again on Day 8 at the box office. The business of FAN is now down to very low levels, so it has no chance of crossing the 90 crore mark.
The Jungle Book will surpass the lifetime box office collections of Akshay Kumar’s Airlift on Saturday and will become the highest grossing film of the year.

The Jungle Book has completely shocked me . I never ever thought TJB will do 100 CR in India but now it is looking towards 150 CR . FF7 was the Highest Grossing Hollywood movie in India but now TJB has broken that record by a huge margin . TJB was not a popular franchise like FF, Avengers and MI and neither it had any popular star like Tom Cruise, Robert Downey Jr.etc. and neither TJB was a Sci-Fi or Superhero movie which is generally loved by Indian audience . So TJB will be the Highest Grosser of 2016 and that is a massive achievement . Last year FF7 was the Highest Grosser of 2015 till the release of TWMR and now TJB will be the Highest Grosser of 2016 till H3 or Sultan releases in Cinemas . So TJB will be the Highest Grosser in the month of April . It has severely dented the collections of Fan . The mediocre content of Fan and the awesome experience of TJB resulted in Fan becoming a massive Box Office Failure . One thing is proved childhood memories are always special and people love to watch their childhood once again . The kids of 90’s generation who now are in the age of 18 to 30 accepted TJB with both hands . It is quite rare for a Hollywood movie which appeals to all the section of audiences from 8 yrs to 80 yrs . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Airlift and Neerja were below average films, don’t know what audience saw in them. Fan was way better than both.

Regarding Jungle Book, it has to be the best performance by a hollywood movie ever in India and surely a blockbuster hit.

I see many comments when SRK fans say it’s because SRK many overseas markets recognize Bollywood.. WTF, I don’t wanna take away SRK’s contribution.. But it’s Yash/Aditya/Karan/Hirani etc who have contributed more.. Because the kinda movies these folks make, are not made in Hollywood etc.. And with so many NRIs, missing the motherland prefer watching that…

The decline is too evident and his ratings among neutral audience are falling faster than a drunk on a motorbike…Anything below 90 is very very low when even some of the newbies are crossing 70-80 safely…Are we saying Kapoor & Sons was a masterpiece ? Was thae movie aimed at smaller towns or interiors ? It was also for urban audience yet it managed 78. Srk who is undoubtedly more famous than Alia Sid or Fawaad struggling to cross 85…Clear decline in stardom
and i am not saying this as a salman fan but it can clearly be seen…writing is on wall….even imdb is not that high…8.1 is good but not great – Airlift, neerja etc have 8.5 or more…even movies where srk’s acting was appreciated likes of chak de, swades etc have much higher imdb…i dont think this is even from appreciation perspective as big as it is made out to be…and mark my words as i predict with passing of time fan will settle for an imdb of 7.9 below 8….i had predicted the imdb drop when it was at 9.6 and i am not that far
