All eyes are on the Sultan vs Raees during Eid this year, a clash that is being touted as the biggest box office clash of all time. There are also reports of ‘Baahubali 2’ makers seriously looking at the Christmas 2016 weekend, more so because the shoot is currently ahead of schedule. We also have Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’ vs Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom’ vs ‘Hera Pheri 3’, what with makers of all three films eyeing the Independence Day weekend.

I think Sultan will take a bigger opening than Raees, lifetime Raees has a chance if it turns out to be a good film. Dilwale has hurt SRK and I simply don’t see Raees taking a bigger opening than Sultan.
Bahubali 2 releasing on same day as Dangal, IMO, will be the biggest and toughest clash of 2016. Bahubali 2 everyone would want to watch, I think Hindi will do 200 crore.
Mohenjodaro might find it tough if Rustom and Hera Pheri release on same day. I still think Mohenjo will win both the opening and final battle.
There is lot of hype about Shivaay.. I don’t like Karan Johar films.. Ranbir is going through career low and I don’t see him recovering with Jagga Jasoos.. so Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will be a big test for both Karan and Ranbir.
Housefull 3 will easily win against Jagga.. All others are small clashes..
After a long time I have read such an incredible article . 2016 can be called as the year of clashes . It is tough to predict the winners but I will do .
12th Feb – Fitoor vs Sanam Re – SR
Currently looking at the buzz of both the movies I feel SR has an upper hand . The music has worked, trailer has been good and the rumours of Pulkit and Yami dating is also giving good publicity . Also Valentine’s Weekend is the best time for such kind of movies . Fitoor on the other hand is looking boring and confusing . The trailer has been average and the music is nice . Also Aditya is coming after 17 months since DEI which is a huge gap .
19th Feb – Neerja vs Tere Bin Laden : Dead Or Alive – Neerja
Neerja is looking pretty good and it is a Biopic on the life of Neerja Bhanot . Audiences are appreciating such kind of movies and the budget also looks reasonable in my opinion . Tere Bin Laden is one of the most funniest movies in the last 5 years but the trailer of this movie looks mediocre . Ali Zafar was perfect for this role and Manish Paul is not looking like a ideal replacement . Unless something goes wrong Neerja will be the clear winner .
25th March – RH vs GGM – RH
The teaser of RH is superb . Masti is also a huge franchise and GM did 100 CR in 2013 which is a massive achievement . But currently people are fed up of adult comedies and this can be understood by looking towards KKHH 3 and Mastizaade . RH will have never seen before action sequences as said by John and if all goes well will be the 1st solo 100 CR Grosser of JA . Also the Censor Board is taking a strong stand against such movies so I feel GGM will have a lot of cuts .
3rd June – H3 vs JJ – H3
First of all I don’t think this clash will take place because I think JJ will be shelved or postponed . JJ has been in the news for more than 2 years and for all the wrong years and all this happened with BV and the result was the Biggest Disaster of All Time . This time Ranbir is the producer so he has to use his money cautiously and smartly . Also because of his current form the opening will be poor . H3 is a massive franchise and both the movies were very successful so if the clash happens H3 will dominate against JJ .
Raees will win. Content looking solid for Raees. Don’t have any expectations from Ali Abbas Zafar.
In #Eid 2016 Legends will collide and box office records are gonna get smashed by them.
