Best Deepika Padukone Songs: Top 10

Deepika Padukone made a grand entry into the Hindi Film Industry in 2007 with Farah Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ opposite none other than Shahrukh Khan. The movie turned out to be the biggest hit of the year and opened the doors of stardom for the daughter of All-England badminton champion Prakash Padukone. Having seen quite a few ups and downs in the last 6 years, Deepika is at the peak of her career now posing a serious threat to the number one position with 3 back to back hits and a potential fourth releasing this week.

Barely 6 year since she made her debut, Deepika also has a few special songs that she has been a part of. Have a look at her best 10 Best below.

1) Main Agar Kahoon: Deepika stunned everyone with her gorgeous screen presence in her first movie ‘Om Shanti Om’. This melodious love duet composed by Vishal-Shekhar has been sung beautifully by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal. Padukone comfortably pulled off a double role in her debut movie.

2) Khuda Jaane: The superb chemistry between Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone was first explored on-screen in YRF’s ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’. KK takes this Vishal-Shekhar composition to new heights with his alluringly captivating voice. This is arguably one of the most romantic contemporary songs of this era.

3) Balam Pichkari: Ranbir-Deepika pairing has set the box office on fire this year as ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewaani’ is the highest grossing movie of 2013 till now. Music album composed by Pritam has managed the rare feat of satisfying masses and classes simultaneously. Amitabh Bhattacharya has excelled big time with his creative unique lyrics.

4) Chor Bazaari: This fun song from ‘Love Aaj Kal’ showcases Deepika and Saif enjoying themselves in the streets of Delhi. While listening to this Pritam’s composition, the listener cannot help but hum along with the energetic vocals of Sunidhi Chauhan and Neeraj Sridhar.

5) Tera Naam Japdi Phiran: Padukone had put her heart-n-soul into the character of ‘Veronica’ from ‘Cocktail’. This song is re-created by Pritam and sung by Javed Bashir to perfection. Deepika performed in the movie as if she was born to do this role.

6) Titli: Deepika is surely in the good books of King Khan. After blockbuster ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Chennai Express’ is looking good to be another major hit. And what’s more, she has been signed to play the lead role in SRK’s next ‘Happy New Year’ as well. Vishal-Shekhar’s composition ‘Titli’ has been sung magically by Chinmayi and Gopi. The Tamil chorus reminds of SRK’s ‘Jiya Jale’ from Dil Se.

7) Uff Teri Ada: This track from ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’ is a superb, high on tempo and beats party track featuring Deepika opposite multi-talented Farhan Akhtar. Shankar Mahadevan has modulated his vocals delightfully in the track. Deepika’s presence provides the much necessary oomph factor to this energetic song.

8) Tere Naina: After Om Shanti Om, Deepika again played another double role in Nikhil Advani’s ‘Chandni Chowk To China’ opposite Akshay Kumar. Though the movie failed miserably at the box-office, this track composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is very much refreshing and pleasing to ears. Shreya is mesmerizing as always and Shankar Mahadevan’s vocals are delightful too.

9) Love Mera Hit Hit: SRK roped in Deepika to do a special song for his home production ‘Billu’. Pritam mixed vigorous drumming with pulsating, electronic and synthesized beats to compose this rollicking track. Neeraj Shridhar is mind blowing in this song which became a huge chartbuster.

10) Be-Inteha: Following the success of ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and ‘Cocktail’, Deepika and Saif completed a hat-trick of hits with ‘Race 2’. This core romantic song from ‘Race 2’ has Atif Aslam written all over it. Sunidhi Chauhan provided the female vocals in a track which grows on listener on repeated hearings.

Other good songs featuring Deepika Padukone are Dum Maaro Dum (Title Track), Dooriyan (Break Ke Baad), O Girl you’re mine (Housefull), Subah Hone Na De (Desi Boyz), Mann Lafanga (Lafangey Parindey), Dilliwali Girlfriend (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani), Dhoom Taana(Om Shanti Om), Daaru Desi(Cocktail) and Aahun Aahun(Love Aaj Kal).

  • Chennai Express will be 4th hit in a row for Deepika . She is on a roll.

After this, Rajinikanth movie , Raamleela, Imtiaz Ali’s next, Happy New Year and Dostana 2.

Deepika is the new number with her hard work and dedication.

All songs in the list are good . My favs are Khuda Jaane and Tera Naam Japdi firan

  • Completely agreed with the top 3 songs because all of those 3 are evergreen. . .
Among the all songs,my favs are main agar kahoon(what a lyrics by javed aktar) saheb and khuda jaane. . .

  • But indicine,
do you think those credits should go to the actors/actress if the songs are good? ? ?no. .
For the goodness of the songs, the credits should go to the singers, composers and lyricist. .
Instead of actors and actresses best song list, you should publish the best song list of those singers and composers. .
No doubt ,stardom of actors provide popularity to the songs, but still credit should be given to music department. .because if you see ishaqzaade ,soty, ramaiya vastamaiya,ashiqi2,,there were no big stars ,but still their songs were chartbusters . .where as music of big stars movie like outimd are disappointing now a days. .though i am not telling against akki, but against the composers who are resposible for bad music. .
