Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has wrapped up the shooting schedule of Ribhu Dasgupta’s directorial venture ‘TE3N’.
“Wrap on film ‘TE3N’! Withdrawal symptoms and most difficult to leave them, you see in picture! TYK” Amitabh tweeted.
“The withdrawal symptoms predominated at the closing of the ‘last shot’ with the unit… and the disappearance from the love of the Kolkatans is truly the pain greater than any other” Big B wrote, elaborating on his Tumblr blog.
Bachchan also thanked the people of Kolkata, where the film was extensively shot.
“TYK: Thank You Kolkata,” he added.
Produced by Sujoy Ghosh of ‘Kahaani’ fame, ‘TE3N’ is scheduled to release in theatres later this year.

No actor till today has been able to reach the heights which Amitabh achieved. He was a one man industry in his times. He was then replaced by the 3 Khans. Some people say SRK has replaced him and some vote for Salman and Amir. But I find it difficult to say that any one particular actor has matched him. It is because in SRKs prime time, Amir and Salman were also making an impact. And now when Salman and Amir are ahead, SRK has still held on to its third position. And today also Salman is also a not a clear number 1 as Amir has delivered bigger blockbusters than him. So overall we can say he was replaced by the three Khans and not any one particular actor.
This just goes on to show what a great icon Amitabh is and still no one has been able to replace him. He was outstanding in all departments : acting, screen presence, charisma, box office collections.
Still today I watch his movies and am thoroughly entertained. Some of my favorites are Sholay, Deewar, Shakti (his and Dilip Kumars collision was out of this world), Amar Akbar Anthony (check out his comic timing), Don, Chupke Chupke, Satte pe Satta, Trishul, Agneepath, Kabhie Kabhie, Akhri Raasta, Naseeb, Namak Halal, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Silsila etc.

@ANK it’s quite unfair to compare Big be even Any of khans or combine three. The reason was at Big b time he known as One man industry. His films used to take bigger start than any other actor during those time while in khans era it was not true. In 1990 when Srk given bigger hit his none if solo film able to took record opening ever. Even during clash with Bade miya chote miya vs kkhh & mission Kashmir vs mohabbatein the opening of srk films were on lower side compare to other films. Same goes for Aamir and Sakman film, there top films like Hank,Raja Hindustani wasn’t even in top 10 opening on those year. It us post multiplex era when Aamir films like Mangal pandey,Fanaa,Ghajini,3i & D3,srk films like Main hoon na,Oso,Ra1,CE,hny etc, Salman films like Dabangg,bodygaurd,ett,BB etc took record opening & created opening weekend records but it was very common for big b to outclass his contempories successively. You and me can’t even imagine what was stardom of bib b during those days that too at the time when he completely banned media in his prime time. Can you and me imagine that any of these khans can match those success without media supports. No doubt the time changes so as every other external factors also between these era but Big B name will always remain in the top of Megastar,superstar and Actors list in Bollywood history. Big b was,is and will remain incomparable to any actor who existed after Big b era. Period.
Big b has lost some respect by calling flop Wazir a blockbuster success. Such cheap publicity stunt does not suit the legend like big b..
Dear ANK you are spot on, although I m a big fan of Salman Khan today but Amitabh is Amitabh, far far better than is predecessors and all successors. You are right my friend Big B = SK+AK+SRK+Rest of the stars, he is the real megastar and the most cult superstar actor India has produced. India will always be proud of this annoy rayan.

There is no comparison…Today we keep on debating who is bigger – srk, salman, akki, aamir, hrithik etc…during amitji’s era it was him followed by other stars…tell me one actor during his era who was as popular as him forget bigger than him…He is 73 and still going strong – are vinod khanna, dharam paaji, shatru sinha, jitendra, (with due respect to everyone) still getting roles as big b ? come on srk in his best phase could not match big b’s success as kbc host…and we can go and dig in the trps – they are out in open…big b gave a performance like black at age of 62…paa was a sheer brilliance…sholay, deewar, etc. are still watched with same passion…even when he acted with a fellow superstar rajesh khanna, that marked beginning of big b era and downfall of charming superstar rajesh khanna (again with all due respect)…he is still the top tax payre and list of highest earning celebrities – are businesses and big brands stupid to sign him as an ambassador…if we are so smart why are we then not running brands such as nestle, Cadbury, etc..there is a reason that the global international brands still sign big b..why don’t they sign dharamendra or rishi kapoor or shatru (who is so jealous of big b that he has lost his mind)…big b is still going when stars such as rishi, sunny, sanjay, Jackie, govind (all 5 were big stars if not superstars. in fact govinda at one point was as big as khans and bigger than akshay) who are younger than amitji have faded away…
while sunny is tryng to bounce back with ghayal returns, we all know how sanjays solo starrer open…on the other hand Jackie although fab personality was nothing more than a good looking actor and faded away after devdas…now we see him in meaningless role with brothers being an exception …govinda needs a major movie to even be considered by big stars…in fact today ranbir at age of 32 is in more danger than big b and needs one big film or he will be finished…same stands for younger stars like shahid, Imran khan or emraan who have lost the art of giving hit films
Now my statement will hurt srk and aamir fans, even few akki fans, but if we have stardom as metric the only one who is close and in later years can match or overtake amitji is salman khan…yes salman has big fan following like all other big superstars but the fact is his fans are loyal and have backed him even when he was maybe on the wrong side…such is salman’s fan following that all who went against him are finished – vivek overoi ?? now I hope ranbir does not go the same way as he is gem and I really wish he bounces back…but the issue is all salman fans have boycotted him and that means 50 percent of movie going population !!! ranbir needs to make sure he makes really good movies as he just as half the audience as even in his best films the remaining 50 percent are not going to bu tickets…now I am not blaming salman as he will never destroy or bad mouth anyone but his fans do take personally !!!! the good part still is india is huge so if ranbir gives something like barfi or yjhd or even rajneeti, he will do fine if not great as srk aamir akki hrithik fans don’t hate him and they also have good fan base but unlike salman…being a hrithik fan, I admire salman for his charisma and akki for his versatility…srk aamir not so much
Amitji , the show must go on forever..and people losing respect because of wazir…come on give him a break, he is not in the race anymore..you won’t a person who will soon be 75 to give 200 crores…even salman akki aamir etc. with exception of srk always comment that they respect amitji and his stardom….according to salman there is no one like Yusuf sahab(dilip kumar) and amitji, aamir mentioned that there is only one king and that is big b, akki is anyways the biggest admirer of amitji….why do people have problem with that ? yes, srk always boasted and compared himself with big b as humility was never his trait…and guess what happened ? because of all his bossy and bragging nature, salman has marched ahead by miles…media even feels aamir is bigger than srk now (which though I don’t agree), hrithik after mohenja daro will hopefully be ahead as fan and raees are not going to be as big a hit as hrithik sirs magnup opus…akki will again have 2007 moment…srk is the only star who is at risk of getting overshadowed by his peers as he does not have screen presence like salman nor acting prowess like hrithik or akki…aamir is also tad better actor than srk but srk is still bigger than aamir I feel
No offence to Amitabh but people blabbering should know amitabh has given the most no of flops.moreover most of his movies were multistarrers..and by multistarrers i mean parallel leads like in sholay not like some will counter sayin hny was a parallel lead film(sonu abhishek etc have zero starpower)
@Dammmnnn…!!! – It was era of multistarrers…and if we remove multistarrers, srk wont have kuch kuch hota hai (Salman was a bigger draw than srk…Only 2000-2009 srk had an edge over salman), k3g (hrithik – new heartthrob of nation, amitji, dharma film), kal ho naa ho (saif as parallel lead after success of dil chahta hai), karan arjun (salman bigger star)…what are you saying ? everyone has a multi starrer …in fact even movies like darr were appreciated as srk movies but you can’t ignore that sunny would have got people to theatre and then people felt srk stole the show but to say he did not is ridiculous…anyways karan arjun, k3g, kkhh, khnh etc. were clear multi starrers and the last 3 played a big role in srks fan following overseas while karan arjun made him a massy actor…
@Dammmnnn…!!! – Also we can’t compare 70s and 80s to current era…most movies with negative wom such as dilwale would have been big flops…its the multiplex era and 4000 plus screens that help superstars salvage their reputation by garnering weekends above 50 crores..so films become safe…superstars can’t give disasters unless the budget is 100 crores plus ….otherwise 90s we know srk was giving flops…till 2004 giving flops was possible hence swades paheli although good flopped..now it’s almost not possible for aamir srk salman hrithik to give outright disasters…even dilwale gets a semi hit verdict which it would not 6-7 years back…..and you have to see 19million twitter followers is not a joke plus giving trp ratings higher than srk aamir salman even today although on television at 73 is commendable…salman arguably bigger than aamir and srk could not deliver good trps with bigg boss…srk will be a disaster if he does a tv show
