Akshay Kumar’s Naam Hai Boss shoot from August

Riding high on the super-success of Rowdy Rathore, Akshay Kumar is all set to star in another South Indian remake. The film will be titled Naam Hai Boss.

Recently, Akshay had purchased the rights of Malayalam superstar Mammootty’s ‘Pokkiri Raja’ (also starring Shriya Saran) and was keen on remaking the film in Hindi.

Anthony D’Souza the director of one of 2009’s biggest disasters ‘Blue’ will be directing the film. Sources say, Akshay has tremendous faith in his ‘Blue’ director and wanted him to direct the film.

But the director of the original Malayalam film, Vysakh says, he was asked to direct the Hindi version too, but couldn’t take it up because of prior commitment to other films.

The shooting for Naam Hai Boss will begin in August and Akshay will join the crew after completing Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2 in September.

Stay tuned for more updates on Naam Hai Boss. We haven’t seen the Malayalam version, but wonder if it will be yet another action masala film?
