Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is quickly emerging as one of the most consistent actors in the industry and also a ‘exhibitor favourite’ simply because he does more films than all the other top stars combined!
After delivering three consecutive hits last year – Airlift, Housefull 3, Rustom – his first release of 2017, Jolly LLB 2, has emerged as the first ‘clean-hit’ of the year.
In Week 1, Jolly LLB 2 has collected Rs 77-78 crore. The film enters the second week of its run as the top choice in theatres. There are multiple releases this week – including ‘The Ghazi Attack’, ‘RunningShaadi.com’ and ‘Irada’ – but Jolly LLB 2 has more shows at multiplexes than the other three films combined.
This is likely to reflect in the box office collections too, as established films always tend to have an advantage over newer films that don’t have star-value.
Jolly LLB 2 will lead by a distance on Friday, while positive word-of-mouth could bring the other films closer on Saturday and Sunday.

Raees would have been 1st ‘clean hit’ of 2017 if it gets a good and solo release .But wrong strategy of their makers affect him and Raees couldn’t perform to his full potential.Raees was surely a 200 crore+ film but facing a clash and unfavorable release period affected it very badly.

Very Gripping Movies, But non of the movie Had good Repeat Value. none of His movie have crossed 30CR in Week2 After Holiday ( Universal appeal movie ) because His movies Are Not the one which people will like to watch to again n again due to the genre & lack of commercial ingredients .
So despite less repeat value akki movies r doing exceptionally well which some idiots needs 2 understand…
He is giving 100CR Despite commercial Elements .that too on non holiday.. Only he can do that.. Even kaabil received good response Like jolly llb2 ,but has finished below 90..despite action & item songs ..lol
AKSHAY sir, please come with khiladi series with some fantastic action and smart directions. after that take a nice festival release and then instead of promoting your film in several platform like kapil sharma shows and others ,please meet with your selective diehard fans as much possible.

Less commercial ingredients movies never takes big opening so even a 13CR opening was good for jolly than it took big jump only because akshay’s name was there .@ROHIT
and yes if he will do 1 movie per year on A big festival than surely his movies will collect more than hrithik SRK MOVies .
rowdy rathore would easily been highest grosser of 2012 if it had ett slot, it had the best trending wom out of all films.
there isn’t any big difference between raees or rustom, airlift collections, or dhoni thse that clashed with limited holiday, their collections are in similar range.

I don’t agree with u coz just like sultan’s no. wasn’t inflated (actually it was deflated), the same will happen with Tubelight, & TZH, actually Tubelight will have just 5 crs difference in overall (same as BB which was also a film of SKFilms of Salman Khan) but TZH will definitely not be inflated coz it’s YRF’s movie and they r famous in deflating no.s (Sultan) to reduce the shares of actors feat in that film…. But Imtiaz’s film will be inflated a huge no.s between 15-30 coz it’s of Red Chillies, whose calculator is very famous for Inflations (Ra.One, Don 2, HNY, Dilwale [overseas], Raees & even CE).
League A : Aamir & Salman
League B : Srk, Akshay, Hrithik
League C : Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Ajay Devgan
League D : Varun Dhawan, Sushant Singh Rajput, Siddhart Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor.
League E : Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham & Emraan Hashmi.
Currently there is a huge difference between League A & League B like difference League B & League E. It will take a lot for Srk, Akki & HR to come near Salman & Aamir and beating them would be humongous task. Ranbir & Ranveer can come in Top 5 if they keep up the pace. Varun Dhawan just need one big grosser like BRM or YHJD and he will be touching Top 5.

@ Amir the megastar : same here bro, I am also not taking anything away from amir. I also love his work, it just the choice of movie, tell me one movie which was a slapstick comedy or pure masala from amir khan in last decade? What I meant is if he would have done such movie, people won’t come or appreciate him and that would have reflected in box office collection whereas akki can give 100cr. In all aspect. Audience will not accept nor amir can do justice to such comedy/slapstick now as expectations are sky high from him.

Akki does 4 films a year and still gives clean hits and all are non holiday release and none of them are as commercial as your none actor movies. None actor does maximum 1 or 2 movies in a year and they all get festive advantage with lots of hike in ticket prises and big commercial masala flavour. Tell your none actor to do 4 movies on non holiday a year and do non commercial movies like akki and then we will see how much his craps will earn. Oops, we all saw what happened last decade when he used to do 4 movies a year and guess what, akki dominated him like a boss. He was nowhere close to akki in last 2 decades. In 1990s, mohra opened to more occupancies than Hum Madhuri ke hai kaun. So stay in your limit. Akki is self made megastar who came from no industrial background, no big banner support like rajashree, yashraj films pr dharma productions banner, no top actresses like madhuri or kajol. He made it big on his own unlike your papa’s boy who is in the industry because of his famous father who wrote script for classics like sholay, don and kala patthar and launched by rajashree banner. Akki is a self made mini industry himself. A man who can act and do versatile roles in span of one year and deliver hits consistently.
@rishikesh shevde good joke. If aamir was in housefull franchise than nothing less than 200 crores guaranteed. But if your flopstar joker was in dhoom 3 or pk or dangal then dhoom 3 would have failed miserably like blue and earned in single digit figures. PK would have been 90-110 cr max and dangal wouldnt have crossed 150 cr. Its all thanks to the one and only megastar aamir khan, these movies went on to smash all time records and became ATBBs.
There is no doubt that he is a mini industry in himself. He deserves success and now officially over taken Hrithik Roshan to become # 4. If Srk continues to struggle Akki will beat him in 2 years to barge in Top 3. Akki need to give high grosser like 150+ crs may be he should be releasing his movies on post IPL period too…

The reality is even if Akki releases on movie per year that too on EDX still he will struggle for 200 crs. Let him cross his own Rowdy Rathore first. We Salman fans dont want to bash your idol because both are friends but if you talk bad about Salman bhai you will get it.
