ABCD Any Body Can Dance Box Office Opening

ABCD Any Body Can Dance has opened to a bumper response at the box office. The film was made on a medium budget, without any stars and clashed against a big film like Special 26 (featuring a A-list star Akshay Kumar).

Yet, the film has shocked and pleasantly surprised the trade. At a few single screens, the occupancy for ABCD was as high as 70-80%. At multiplexes, where Special 26 was expected to dominate, were also in favour of India’s first dance film.

Overall, on an All India level, the footfalls for ABCD was almost double of Special 26.

The reviews for the Prabhu Deva are mixed, so it remains to be seen if the film can sustain it’s excellent opening over the weekend.
