Aamir Khan supports ‘Lagaan’ actor’s social initiative

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has come out in support of Paul Blackthorne’s ‘Save the Rhino Vietnam’ initiative. Paul played the role of Andrew Russell (captain of the British team) in the 2001 classic ‘Lagaan’.

Blackthorne along with Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has started the initiative under which they are selling Save the Rhino Vietnam T-shirt to raise funds for NGO Save the Rhino International and generate awareness that 90 percent of rhino horns poached in Africa end up in Vietnam.

Aamir posted a picture of himself with the T-Shirt that was sent to the actor by Paul.

“Hey guys, our very own Captain Russel (Paul Blackthorne) from ‘Lagaan’ is doing some good work for a change! I think it would be great if we can all support him. Check out the link. Love. a. https://www.facebook.com/OfficialPaulBlackthorne/

  • Just look at the transformation of Aamir! 3 months ago he was 98 kgs. Now, around 75! He’s looking so smart and handsome.
This is unbelievable and marvellous! His dedication towards his roles and his passion for filmmaking is unmatchable for any actor or filmmaker.
    Hats Off, Aamir sir. ?
One good thing to notice is that Aamir has always used social media to promote good things.
He tweets about cinema that he finds riveting. He tells about various social initiatives that we can support in order to change lives of those underprivileged, unlike other actors who keep praising themselves and quoting their own fan clubs 24×7.

Thank you Aamir for everything you’ve done for cinema. A megastar, a classic method actor and a concerned indian.
    Love you forever.
Please release Dangal poster now, can’t wait for it. You’ll thrash all records again this Christmas!

  • Can’t wait for Dangal. It’ll be a milestone film in the history of Indian cinema.
Go Aamir, shut your haters’ big mouth with your work!

  • Good for Amir to support him in that cause.

Definitely remember that Captain Russel in Lagaan in fact all the characters of Lagaan. One of my most favorite movies of Amir.

  • Lagaan was a movie specially designed for Aamir khan. From beginning to end his acting was so natural and he did it with ease.

Apart from Mr Paul glad to see Aaron Ramsey the Wales International national football captain participate in such awareness and it gets bigger when a personality like Aamir khan also joins the bandwagon.

A times I find it abnormal when people eliminate Gods own creations just in d name of money. Such culprits deserves being jailed!!!

    Nice one Perfectionist!!

  • Wow Aamir, looking so smart and handsome!
What a transformation. From 98 kgs 3 months back to 75 kgs now.
You’re an inspiration for all of us.
Aamir’s dedication towards his roles and approach to filmmaking is unmatchable by any other actor or filmmaker in the industry.
Love you sirji, may Dangal become the biggest hit of Indian cinema ever.
One point to notice is that Aamir always uses social media to promote good things such as good cinema, various social initiativea that can help those who are unprivileged and need our support unlike other actors who keep quoting their fanclubs and self appraisal tweets.
I urge everyone here to buy at least one T-shirt here so that we can help Captain Russell the right way.
Aamir plz release Dangal poster now, dying to see it.

  • SRK’s tweet : “@aamir_khan thank u for the toys. AbRam is still awake and playing with them!!!!!”

  • Anything to save Dangal from disaster

don’t forget Aamir we are not going to catch your upcoming Disaster

  • While Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan are donating lakhs and showing their concern for the society, SRK is busy partying with Tim Cook in his grand house. Big shame.

  • @sultan bhushan Agreed. SRK destroys India’s reputation in overseas with his mostly 3rd class films.
Big shame, no wonder he is now becoming less popular than Hrithik and Salman in overseas.
    Biggest actors in overseas
    1.Aamir
    2.Salman
    3.Hrithik/SRK

  • @mogli: Bro i2 liked him… watched his movies first day…but his comment has made me change my mind…next time celebrities should think b4 talking so I know many people of india will boycott this movie… Suddenly he is praising modi doing more social activities for publicity… So u can also boycott…
