100 crore movies in 2012 – Prediction

4 movies crossed the 100 crore mark in 2011 – Ready, Bodyguard, Singham, Ra One – and Don 2 is likely to cross the magical number this week.

There are several biggies lined up for release in 2012. But how many will cross 100 crores at the Indian box-office? Here’s our prediction..

  • Agneepath – Starring Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt and Katrina Kaif in a special item number, Agneepath should be the first film to cross 100 crores in 2012. The hype is HUGE.
  • Talaash – First Aamir Khan film after the biggest blockbuster in Bollywood history – 3 Idiots! Need we say more?
  • Rowdy Rathore – The fact that action films are favorites for box-office gold, should work in Rowdy Rathore’s favour. The film should provide the much needed boost to Akshay Kumar’s career, which has been going down-hill with every release since 2010′s Housefull.
  • Ek Tha Tiger – The average of his last three films, at the Indian box-office, is approximately 140 crores! Plus Ek Tha Tiger is releasing during EID. Should cross 100 crores in Week 1.
  • Bol Bachchan – This could go either way – but given Ajay Devgan and director Rohit Shetty’s track record together (Golmaal series, Singham), Bol Bachchan could go on to be one of 2012′s biggest hits!
  • Dabangg 2 – Three factors why this should easily cross 100 crores – Christmas release, sequel to one of 2010′s most loved films and Salman Khan!
  • Yash Chopra film starring Shahrukh Khan – A legendary director and one of Bollywood’s biggest superstars – Yash Chopra and SRK come together for yet another romantic film. Fresh starcast with SRK paired with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. Should be treat and not to mention, a box-office monster!

2012 Great years for sallu bhai like 2011. EK THA TIGER will be cross 100crore in first weekend. Lifetime will be 250crore. And DABANGG 2 will be cross 100crore in 3days and lifetime will be 350crore

my prediction

srk next can cross 220 crore mark
danangg 2 should easily cross 100 crore

agneepath fate will be same as kites.hrithik film are very hyped but mostly underperform.

time has come for amir and salu to deliver big time flops with talash and ek tha tiger

Srk’s Films(Lifetime) -
1. My Name Is Khan -200cr(Approximate)
2. Ra.One -- 240cr & Still to release in more foreign countries on 2012.
3. Don 2 -- 140cr in just 1st week and 2nd weekend 19cr so Don 2 will definately cross 250cr+

and so.
4.Srk’s Next(2012) -- 300cr+

srk last three movies mnik 190 crr apprx ra 1 a180 crr aprx and now don 2 200 crr apprx estimated so the avg is 190 crr
sallu last three dabang 165 crr ready 150 crr and bgurd 190 crr aprx wid the avg 168.5 crr
its a net total worldwide collection..s while the salman movies are of full of mass oriented masala movies and srk gives last three for target audience and u also know what the critics done with these srk movies and if we take comparison beyond these movies so the there are so many flops of salman while its difficult to find 2 flop movies of srk from last 10 years..so why the hell trade is doing that kind of sluggish act now a days there are very much negativity around trade for srk ..sir pls rigth me if i m wrong

needless to say dat each of d film ek tha tiger and dabang 2 can easily cross 150 cr mark in india and overseas it shoukld be cross 50 cr and total gross will be around 300 cr

2.ek tha tiger.

4.talaash. Because there are all original story.

Amitabh’s agneepath was just hit not blockbuster.
So it will grand open as huge hype then slowly in boxoffice.

Rowdy rathore is remake of Telugu blockbuster but let’s see
It’s style because south Indian films style won’t liked whole Indian people.

Bol bacchan is also remake of golmaal(1960) but let’s see.because rohith is
Intelligence director and god of action.

I agree with Indicine’s list..though I am doubtful about Talaash..as masala films mostly work for Aamir..Talaash is serious crime thriller sought of film..and Aamir doesnt carry mass popularity..its just that his films r bigger than him..

I would like to add.
HF2 , Son Of Sardar , OUATIM in the list..

2012 gonna be a great year..atleast 7-8 films should cross 100cr mark..

Worldwide Srk-Yrf should come out at top..as worldwide new bench mark may be created..

All these films look sureshot 100 crore grossers. I feel Dabangg 2 and ETT shall be the biggest films of the year at BO, considering Salman’s current craze and also the great release dates of these films (Eid and X Mas).

What are your views on the opening weekend of Agneepath- are you expecting it to be in the Don 2 range (45-50 crores) or record breaking (55 crores +)
And what are your views on the overseas prospects of the film.

Talaash will cross 120 crores..dats it..not 200 crores..n yash raj banner will be all lucky dis year..coz both salman’s ek tha tiger n SRK’s next untitled will be biggest atbbs dis year..ya agneepath will open nicely..but how can it be bb if big b’s same film was average?..i doubt karan johar may succeed or not..but it will be a hit..dats it..n akki has gud chance of coming back to his stardom..!!

The No.1 Movie of 2012 is Dabangg2.and No.2 is Ek tha tiager both films crossed more than 180 cr.and amir khan talaash is in No.3.Agneepath,rowdyrathore,bol baachan will not crossed 100 cr mark.Son of sardar and Gayal return is possibe to cross this marks.

The SRK starrer will get money just becuz of SRK. Katrina sucks as an actress… she needs to stop. She isn’t even pretty. Anushka is okay but the Yash movie should havd the legendary SRK/Kajol jodi or even Rani/Abhishek…….. get the hell outta bollywood katrina!!
