The regular shooting of ‘Durgi’ directed by Anand S and produced by CHVSN Babji, and Talla Balachandra Reddy on the banner of Srichakra Movie Makers with Baby Jyotsna in the title role, was progressing at Chodavaram in Visakhapatnam district from April 5. Producers say, ‘We are producing the film with a script accepted by the Film Development Corporation which was provided by P Sambasiva Rao, who had directed films like ‘Eenadu, Intinti Ramayanam and Kumararaja’. As the story demands, we are shooting the film at a beach.‘ Director says, ‘We are trying to debate a social stigma that we in force in various tribal thandas and are giving a message for its eradication.’ Photo Anand, Kavyanjali, Kalyani, Neelima Naidu, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Alapati Lakshmi, and others are in the cast. Lyrics are by Andesri, dialogues are by Ch Ramakrishna, music is by Quddus and cinematography is by Surya. While CB Reddy is presenting the film, screenplay and direction are by Anand S.
