Two releases this week Dil Diya Hai starring Emraan Hashmi, Ashmit Patel and Naksha starring Sunny Deol, Vivek Overoi and Sameera Reddy.
There was quite a lot of buzz surrounding Dil Diya Hai. Average to good opening was expected from the Emraan Hashmi starrer.
But Aashiq Banaya Aapne team have failed to recreate the magic. Dil Diya Hai has been rejected outright! The business has been poor all over india.
Verdict – Flop
The business of Naksha was better compared to the other release this weekend. As expected the collections were good in the north (Sunny Deol is a huge star in the north). The rest of india collections were poor.
The failure of Naksha is yet another set back for Vivek Oberoi who was once considered to be the future superstar.

Lage Raho Munnabhai (Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, Vidya Balan) is doing excellent business all over india. Overseas too the movie is a hit. Also, It could be the first movie since Gadar to have better collections in the second week than the first.

1st weekend collections overseas – Rs 7 crores
