Television soaps have gained prime importance in life of many especially house wife’s. Even the working class people discuss about the serials more than work. With growing competition in soaps, channels try to attract and maintain audience by using so many new tactics.
Sony Entertainment Television (SET), facing stiff competition from Zee and Star Plus in terms of programming and TRPs, is all set to refurbish its recently launched daily soaps with new twist in their existing story lines from next week.
Despite rumours of the Renuka Shahane starrer ?Jeete Hain Jiske Liiye? winding up due to lack of decent TRPs, the channel and the production house have gone ahead with a 20 year leap which will see Anjali (Renuka) in a new avatar.
Starting from April 23, one will witness a fresh new generation in the show with Rahul (Yuvraj Malhotra) playing Anjali?s son and Ayesha (Priya Wal) playing Anjali?s daughter. The story will see Anjali adorning a new avatar and coming back from imprisonment to reclaim her children who believe she is dead, hunt for the real murderer and pick up her life.
SET creative director Sandeep Sickand said as per the new generation track, 20 years have passed. Anjali has completed her term of imprisonment and is a free woman now. Her grown up children Ayesha and Rahul are given to believe that their mother is no more.
Anjali?s prime motive in life is to reunite with her children and to find the real murderer.
The subsequent episodes will show if Anjali manages to meet her kids and why did Aman and the Dhanrajgir household chose to hide Anjali?s identity. The story line will also feature on whether Anjali will reunite with Aman and who is Avani?s real murderer.
Similarly, Smriti Z Iraani?s ambitious venture ?Viruddh? will see the unveiling of the character Shalini, who is the protagonist?s (Smriti) mother.
