Good trailer doesn’t guarantee good opening. Good trailer could be sometime like a small video which would be interesting to watch but sometimes fails to create curiosity about storyline among audience mind ( here I’m talking abt general audience not about Die hard fans).
Audience gets excited abt the movie when they find some interesting storyline in the trailer.
For eg: When I watch the trailer, it form an idea of storyline, automatically in my mind. Then I’m curious to know more abt story line, which would eventually
excites me to watch the film.
Both Dhoom 3 and Krrish 3 had well made trailer. However, Krrish 3 trailer had better looking trailer whereas Dhoom 3 took far
better opening cos it had formed a scope of curiosity about storyline in the viewers mind which eventually made Dhoom 3 more apealing to them.

it’s same like bang bang received views and brothers recieved views bt both failed to collect huge .
I think bajarangi bhaaijan success is one of the reason to get such a high views bt to be very honest it’s any average trailer in above

King khan just spreads his arms and it generates 1.2 million views. Whereas sallu releases a full fledged trailer,
with lots of bhajans(oops songs) being chanted into the background. Still it gets 3M views
(that too, when all the inmates of “Lalluland” were granted a special “24 hours- one time access” to world wide web) . lol :D

If the execution is done well then audience will throng to theatres like Chennai Express (2nd half) . Locations are the Plus points.

If I point on cars then Rohit Shetty is the only director who uses cars not for climax fighting but to entertain people & his all films had good Story & positive WOM.
His only flop film was from his career starting years then all are hit , Super hit & BB.
