Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale has surpassed the overseas business of Aamir Khan’s 2009 release 3 Idiots, to become 4th highest overseas grosser of all time. The film is only behind Aamir Khan’s PK, Dhoom 3 and Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
The other Christmas release, Bajirao Mastani has also entered the Top 10. The combined collections of the two December releases in $41.61 million (Rs 282 crore)

SRK is biggest outside India. Period. There is nothing to compare nor can any statistics put him below anyone. If someone has top 10 in top 20 grossing movies, it’s simple SRK took Bollywood global
Having said that for Bollywood unlike Hollywood domestic collections are still very very important and they will decide the verdict. Unlike Hollywood mostly still out movies are watched by Indian diaspora, it’s not like we have 80 percent collections coming from outside India … For Hollywood a big film like avengers can compete with a mainstream Bollywood movie In Mumbai Delhi Bangalore etc.. Our movies though big are not competing with Star Wars in New York so for us donestic is very important
But if we are talking about fan following outside I hate to admit but it’s SRK.. Recently I met local people in Venice while traveling to Italy there was a group who said oh so you must be SRK fan .. They knew SRK and the second name they took was Aishwarya that she is very beautiful…
In India though I will make it very clear SRK is not at the top currently … Sorry but it’s a fact he was quite consistent but it’s Salman currently who is at top and dilwale collections in India were very very moderate.., that puts question on SRK delivering in India … Also happy new year compared to Salman or Aamirs movie has underperformed in India … Even bang bang although releasing on October 2nd while hny on Diwali … There was no such major difference in collections … And the way Bollywood works you can’t ignore donestic collections… Today everyone declared Bajirao as winner basically because domestic was great… Simple
It’s wise for SRK to not take Salman heads on… WW they might go neck to neck but in India there is no way Salman can open less than SRK in today’s times… It will be 25 plus for Salman while 14-15 for SRK … SRK is Ranveer here but at the end he can depend on wom if reports are good then anything can happen… Good movie never loses fans come out watch in first weekend… From 4th day neutral people decide how your film will go… It’s not like Ranveer has more fans that is stupid to say but you can’t destroy a good movie in age of social media

I giggled when I saw Indicine saying Salman Aamir Akshay Ajay don’t care about awards. While deep inside me Indicine made a mistake calling two names there I won’t say their names. Just clue okay one is obviously known to everybody he does not even deserve nomination throughout his career. The other of recent just had a more content thriller after mahacraps over Mahacraps also he is among the big 6 who never won any Filmfare awards best actor critics popular and debut. 2 names their I have to be honest just like Srk really deserved that award in their career both are supertalented though one of recent was doing some crops but we all know his pedigree. These 2 actors shun awards and I know they don’t give a damn. While the other 2 just entertains for money knowing they are not winning anything. IMO Filmfare was not fare for both the 2 award stunners at a point in their career. Srk deserved no doubts Hrithik 2 awards were debatable. Indicine last request never say Salman and Akshay don’t want awards compared to Aamir and Ajay no where close to them be them doing bb or airlift still I mean it no way close to Shah rukh Aamir and Ajay. Some people are serious brainless – if shahrukh was not in dilwale it would not of made anywhere near to as close as it has made regardless of varun dhawan. Star power in boxoffice is shown the most at opening BMdid not even make 10crore success of BM has nothing to do with ranveer – BM would of made the same amount if ranveer was NOT in it and ANY other actor was as it grew on word of mouth and Eros had a big part to play in BM success due to screens. People comparing aamir and Salman to the KING need a reality check they cemented a permanent place in the top bracket only recently to be precise aamir in 2008 and bhai in 2010 the KING was put in the top bracket at the end of (1993) and has remained in this bracket since – talking about box office Shahrukhs movie choices have not been good -3 masala movies in a row masala movies. I can go on but all I will say with due respect is that comparing aamir and Salman to Shahrukh is like comparing rishi kapoor and vinod khanna to amitabh bachchan – but still if it gives you mental satisfaction you guys carry on.

The title Dilwale beat the collection of 3 idiots in overseas. While one was a last year release got bombed at Indian box office while other one which created history in domestic market as well as many markets in overseas. lol. overseas boxoffice is so overrated by srk fans. Sarooks biggest overseas hit MNIK sold only 28 lakhs tickets overseas. Add that to domestic footfalls MNIK will still be close to 80lakhs less than 2010s biggest hit Dabangg in terms of footfall.
likewise Worldwide Prdp has sold 60lakhs more tickets than dulwale. Srk is simply releasing his movies in overseas markets where currency value is high just for boxoffice record. in reality they r all loss making propositions.

Even Talaash first week collection was more than jthj first 3 days in overseas in some markets. Regarding 10 million $ Aamir’s D3 achieved that mark in first weekend itself.
