Bollywood megastar Salman Khan has said he likes award functions and feels happy when others win, but on a personal level, the actor has said awards don’t matter to him.
In fact, Salman has publicly asked organisers not to include him in the competition (read nomination).
“I feel very happy when others get awards but they don’t matter much in my life. I like award functions as the whole industry comes together. We all keep busy so, at award functions, we get to meet our friends and it feels nice”
“I say delete me from the competition. We are here since long, we have been nominated.. I can come and perform, attend the award shows but I think now young generation should be given a chance to win awards”
Salman’s statement comes soon after he was declared the Zee Viewer’s Choice Best Actor for his performance in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Salman attended the awards show, but did not go on stage to accept the awards. Previously too, the superstar has left before his name was announced, making it clear that he’s uncomfortable with accepting awards.
I absolutely hate all these hypocratic people who bad mouthing about award Dear salman khan to win an award it need to be act good. Even dharam paji, jitujee have most no of of hit in their kitty but never win an award if I m not mistaken. Reason is simple, they never consider a great actor and none of their role turned iconic except few of dharam paajis like dharam veer sholay etc. but these people never insult awad. Leave alone big B salman is not even close to Jitendra in terms of hit movies.
Whoever won award (filmfare ) so far were never deserve according to Amir salman like bigb, dilip kumar, srk, nana, sanju, hritik, ranbeer and ranveer etc.

Why would a 2nd most flops giving none actor should complain about not winning any award who was not even in top 10 before masala movies became popular and the one who has given a flop like jai ho and veer even during his do called peak period? Giving 12 so called fluke blockbusters out of 80 films but what about more than 50 flops/disasters before that? That’s really a very poor success ratio among all Bollywood actors. Salman will always be remembered as a fluke star with some blockbusters and most number of flops/disasters and a worst actor of India. Too much fun!!!!!

In my comment at 6:09 pm, I forgot to mention Hrithik when I was mentioning stars delivering a number of award winning performances. In fact he deserved to be mentioned ahead of Akshay.
So I will change the order to (1) Amir, (2) both Ajay and SRK, (3) Hrithik and then with some gap (4) both Akshay and Salman.
I know I will get many dislikes (definitely from Salman and Akshay fans and also may be from SRK fans) for the above sequence but I have tried to be completely honest here.

@ Kartik – 7:47 pm : This is not a complete analysis of Filmfare awards. I have picked only those years in which Salman was nominated and have compared him with the other nominees only in those years. So if in those years Ajay or someone else is nominated I have given my view on that performance. May be there were other great performances in those years but if they were not nominated I havent discussed them.
I have been tried to be very honest and not biased (as I am a SRK fan). As far as Ajay is concerned, I mainly appreciated his two performances (among those years) i.e. Zakhm (which was a national award winning one) and OUATIM. I rated his performance in Gangajal and HDDC as good/very good only and not an award winning one. And if I were a Ajay fan, I wouldnt have given my vote to Sanjay for Vaastav instead of Ajay in HDDC.
But that is obviously my opinion only and others can disagree with it.

@AKN. But I thought Ajay was the supporting actor in that film. How can he get best actor then? it’s Salman that was nominated best actor for hddcs not Ajay. No actor acts with Salman and get nominated for best actor. He Is always the lead actor except kkhh.
Every person who receives any kind of award or certificate or prize should feel within themselves that they are deserving. Salman knows he does not deserve as he knows his acting capability. Award are for those who is a great actor not just whose film collect good due to many reasons esp in salman case he puts one catchy song . That is not acting. Salman fans should understand this before abusing other talented actors.
