Bollywood megastar Salman Khan has said he likes award functions and feels happy when others win, but on a personal level, the actor has said awards don’t matter to him.
In fact, Salman has publicly asked organisers not to include him in the competition (read nomination).
“I feel very happy when others get awards but they don’t matter much in my life. I like award functions as the whole industry comes together. We all keep busy so, at award functions, we get to meet our friends and it feels nice”
“I say delete me from the competition. We are here since long, we have been nominated.. I can come and perform, attend the award shows but I think now young generation should be given a chance to win awards”
Salman’s statement comes soon after he was declared the Zee Viewer’s Choice Best Actor for his performance in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Salman attended the awards show, but did not go on stage to accept the awards. Previously too, the superstar has left before his name was announced, making it clear that he’s uncomfortable with accepting awards.
Salmas has lost this Year near RS in award shows…and now He is saying, ”I think now young generation should be given a chance to win awards”…wow…lol…someone rightly said grapes are sour ;-)

how can anyone check effort of actor’s when media and juries are biased for one actor. acting can’t be teach by any school, it comes from heart and i feel he act from heart atleast he doesn’t copy expression and style from dilip kumar in every movie.

In awards when u was in incompetition sir?
Nothing wrong with what he said, but it is quite obvious thing for him to say. He hasn’t won Filmfare award (which is losing its prestige due to various reasons) for Best Actor because he was little unlucky couple of times. Two of his career best performances according to me are in ‘Tere Naam’ & ‘Bajrangi Bgaijaan’, but both times he lost to deserving winners like Hrithik (KMG) and Ranveer (Bajirao..), he was also good in ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’, for which he won the award for Best Debut Actor.
He also has an image of an action hero, which does not have much scope for awards.
Srk and amitabh are too ahed in awards that’s why sir uncomfirtable!

Salman ,u will remain my favourite as always though u r a non-actor (sorry,non-overactor for me) for many.ur larger than life image fascinates me.I dont want to hear ordinary stories .u excel in action ,romantic,comedy ,drama or any genre.eversince ur role of a suffering lover in mpk ,hits or flops u never disappoint me.for me Nischaiy and Veergati shows u as angry young man ;suryavanshi and ek tha tiger are thrillers; casanova of saajan; offbeat in khamoshi and phir milenge; comedy in andaz apna apna; tapori in judwaa; no need to mention for actions ;romantic in hddcs; tough man with a heart in tere naam and so on.No film ever is so entertaining and emotional as hahk for which i was a truant student of college .i watched hahk more than mf hussain.unfortunately i am not a celebrity and mf stole the show unjusty as srk won filmfare award for dtph.What awards are? U have fans and our love is always with u.we are with u always knowing that u havent won fakefare best actor award and will remain so.my 5 year old son cried when u r beaten up in bajrangi bhaijaan .that is ur oscar.
Bhaitards should refrain commenting about Bhai in regards with awards cause Bhai never wins/never has won/nor he will ever win one ???.

by the way the best entertainer film national awards are won by hahk & dabangg one. Salman is awarded rajiv gandhi award by the govt of india. Salman publicly said to filmfare & also zee cine award to give award to ranveer.so zee cine gave jointly for jury best actor & gave salman best actor popular/viewers choice.while some days ago srk is given the best actor popular award dep dilwale?wow…was dilwale that popular?or has srk made dilwale a great popular film?if srk gets this for dilwale,why not salman for bajrangi bhaijaan?highest grosser of the year is more important because a mighty khan like ak or srk if releases one films in two years or three films in four/five year,he will attain most number of times the all time highest grosser. But highest grosser of year is that film which beats all other films of that years under equal conditions. All time highest grosser means the biz is changed by a film. But it also suggest that chennai express is as big as hahk o three idiots. on other hand bajrangi bhaijaan may not be a all time highest grosser but is many times better grosser than chennai express.

Meanwhile one Bhai fan is giving me life lessons that too free of cost , lol !
His greatest award is that masses absolutely love and adore him and so he delivers blockbusters after blockbusters.
But frankly if we talk about acting skills then honestly there are not many roles and performances of his to be seen as award worthy something which Amir, Ajay, SRK and Akshay (and him too only in recent years with Baby, Special 26, Airlift, etc.) can boast about.
If we talk about Filmfare awards, then following are the occasions where he lost:
1. In 1990, he (nominated for Main ne pyar kia) lost to Jackie Shroff for Parinda and Jackie deserved to win hands down for his awesome performance. Right decision for me.
2. In 1996 he (for Karan Arjun) lost to SRK (for DDLJ) which I think was the right decision (even though I may be biased). But if I see overall I would have voted equally for both SRK (for DDLJ) and Amir (Rangeela) that year.
3. In 1999 he (for Pyar Kia to Darna Kia) again lost to SRK (for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai). My vote would have been for neither as Ajay Devgn was the deserving candidate for Zakhm without any doubt.
4. In 2000, he (for Hum Dil De Chuke) lost to Sanjay Dutt (for Vaastav). Salmans performance in HDDC was very good but Sanjay was absolutely great in Vaastav. Amir and Ajay were great in Sarfarosh and HDDC and for me both were better than Salman. But I would have still voted for Sanjays performance in Vaatav.
5. In 2004, he (for Tere Naam) lost to Hrithik (for Koi Mil Gaya). I would have definitely voted for Salman that year. That was one award worthy performance. Ajay and SRK were good in Gangajal and Kal Ho Na Ho but I would have voted for Salman for him trying something different.
6. In 2011, he (for Dabang) lost to SRK (for MNIK). I loved him as Chulbul Pandey but still not that good enuf a performance to win an award ahead of SRK and Ajays performance. That year my vote would have been divided into two : for SRK (MNIK) and Ajay (OUATIM). Would have been fine with either of them. Hrithik was also very good for Guzarish but would place him at 3rd after Ajay and SRKs performance. So technically Salmans performance deserved 4th position.
7. In 2012, he (for Bodyguard) lost to Ranbir (for Rockstar). Again it was just a normal performance and not an award winning one.
8. In 2013, he (for Dabang 2) lost to Ranbir (for Barfi) and Ranbir was awesome/superb in Barfi and the deserving one.
9. In 2016, he (for BB) lost to Ranveer (BM). I have said it before that I would have voted for Salman for BB as he finally delivered a very fine performance after a number of years. He definitely deserved to win.
So in my opinion, there are only two occasions (for tere naam and BB) where one can say that he was deserving and should have won. Otherwise fair enuf results.
He is a megastar and much ahead as far as delivering blockbusters is concerned but frankly hasnt delivered many award winning performances.
Not that it makes any difference to him and his stardom but I hope he chooses movies like BB instead of Kick 2 and Dabang 3.
IF Shahrukh and amitabh or hrithik would have said this then it was fine but salman you hardly got any award in the entire career why suddenly you said u dont need awards.Firstly become deserving then say so..
