So what if Bollywood Star Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are not solemnising their marriage in Patna, some residents here along with the stars? ardent fans are busy with ?parallel? celebrations.
The fans here have made elaborate arrangements for lavish wedding feasts and other ceremonies.
Huge posters of Abhishek and Aishwarya play the roles of the groom and the bride. A car with band in attendance, and the fans dancing around it make up for the ?baraat? (bridegroom?s procession prior to the wedding).
Rakesh Kumar Singh, an organiser of such ?poster-wedding? said that despite not being invited to the wedding, he has no regrets. On the contrary, he candidly said of being delighted to celebrate the occasion.
?Tomorrow is Abhishek and Ashwariya?s wedding and we have not received any invitation. But they are getting married, we are happy celebrating on our own with all the music of band and baraat. We have also organised a dinner to celebrate the occasion,? said Rakesh Kumar Singh, an organiser of a poster wedding in Patna.
?We are expressing our happiness for the wedding Abhishek and Ashwariya. We cannot go there. So we are celebrating on our own. We have organised a dinner for the people to express our joy and happiness,? added Gautam Budh, a local resident.
Meanwhile, outside the Bachchan residence in Mumbai, people in huge numbers have gathered, as onlookers keep frequenting the place to catch a glimpse of the actors.
The Bachchans are guarding their privacy fiercely and have asked guests to keep mum about wedding details.
