The shooting of ‘Navvule Navvulu’ (Idi Manchi Medicine) directed by Darav and produced by Paleti Venu, Viramachaneni Sivaramakrishna Prasad on the banner of Krishna Sai Pictures with Prithvi and Anju Asrani in the lead was launched at Vijayawada. APCOB chairman Vasantha Nageswara Rao switched on the camera, while exhibitor Muttavarapu Venkateswara Rao gave the slap for the muhurat shot picturised on Prithvi and Anju Asrani under the honorary direction of Valluri Ramakrishna. Guntur MLA Rayapati Sambasiva Rao congratulated the unit on its launch. Director Darao says, ‘We are making the film based on a novel ‘Kodekaru’ penned by Bollimunta Nageswara Rao, published in Swati weekly as a serial. Prithvi would appear in a woman’s attire in some scenes.’ Producers say, ‘We are planning a 30-day shoot in Vijayawada, Ibrahimpatnam, Guntur and its surrounding areas in which we would shoot the talkie part and two songs. There is a history that films in which the heroes appear in lady get up were big hits. Films like ‘Bhamane Satyabhamane, Madam and Chitram Bhalare Vichitram’ proved this. We are introducing Narahari as music director through this movie.’ Prithvi says, ‘I wished to play in a woman’s attire in a film since long. I am very happy that my wish is being fulfilled through this movie. My character has two different shades and the role is quite challenging.’ Heroine Anju Asrani says, ‘I have got a good role in this film which had scope to perform.’
