The trend nowadays has turned to mythologicals film. A spate of films is either in production or in the pipe line. ‘Sri Sathyanarayanaswamy’ starring Suman is ready for release. Alladi Sridhar’s ‘Jai Balalji’ has completed post-production works and is ready for release.
A film on ‘Tarigonda Vengamamaba’ is being made with Smitha Madhav in the title role. Smith played the role of Sita in the film ‘Balaramayanam’. Vengamamaba is a famous poet saint who was a devotee of Lord Venkateswara Swamy. Another film by the same subject has been announced recently. Veteran director K Vishwananth is reportedly directing the film being produced by Venkatrami Reddy of Vijaya Films. K Vishwanath last film as a director was ‘SWaribhishekam’ three years ago. Incidentally, Vengamamaba finds mention in Alladi Sridhar’s film ‘Jai Balalji’ as well.
