Filmmaker Farah Khan, who started her career as a choreographer with the Aamir Khan film ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’, has completed 25 years in the industry. Her first song was the classic ‘Pehla Nasha’, which remains one of the best romantic songs to come out of the industry.
In a statement, Farah said ”I’m so fortunate to be able to do what I love for the last 25 years. The constant love and support from the industry and my fans have been overwhelming.”
Farah was one of the most successful choreographers in the industry before she took up directing with Shah Rukh Khan’s Main Hoon Na, a film that went on to do very well at the box office.
‘Tees Maar Khan’ is the only failure of her career. Her last director was ‘Happy New Year’ in 2014.

Farah Khan has been an amazing choreographer . Congratulations for completing 25 years in this industry as one of the most successful choreographers in the last 50 years of Hindi cinema . JJWS is one of the best films of 90’s and a must watch for everyone? . The climax cycling sequence is still thrilling for everyone when it comes on TV . Main Hoon Na was a very good film which has a repeat value on TV . She made a wrong decision to enter filmmaking . Everybody will agree with me after watching TMK and HNY . Congratulations Farah Khan. Ur fantastic both as a choreographer and a director. The only female director in the industry to achieve universal success and 100% success ratio. @indicine if Varun Dhawan has 100% success ratio despite Dilwale Semi Hit. Then Farah Khan is no exception coz Tees Maar Khan was not a failure.
She’s fine upto Choreography…. Shouldn’t meddle with direction again !

@Aadav om shanti om was not an all time grosser even worldwide. according to boi.com dhoom 2( 2006 release) had world wide gross of approx 151.38 crore while oso’s( 2007 release) worlwide gross was approx 149.87 crore, so how can oso be an all time grosser worldwide. it failed to cross dhoom2 both in domestic and worldwide market.
Tees maar opened huge n went on to collect 65 CR’s n was a semi hit in b.o.

MHN was better of all but still was nowhere close to other movies of SRK. It worked purely due to SRK’s charisma during that period, there was nothing extra ordinary in it. OSO was crap but enjoyed… Ek chutki sindoorr…… Lol …… Rest 2 movies dont even deserve to be mentioned.

For a female, she has done commendably well in her career aside her choice of films. The only blockbusters she has are her 3 blockbuster kids! She is trully blessed!
