Ranveer Singh in remake of ‘Magadheera’

Bollywood star Ranveer Singh will play the lead in the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster ‘Magadheera’. Making remakes has become a trend in B-Town and the Hindi version of Magadheera, joins the endless list of south Indian remakes.

Magadheera has been dubbed in Malayalam as ‘Dheera – The Warrior’ and in Tamil as ‘Maveeran’. The title for the Hindi version is yet to be revealed. The cast and director are yet to be finalised as well. The film will be produced by Anurag Kashyap and Vikas Bahl’s company Phantom.

In the past, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and even Ranbir Kapoor were rumored to be involved in the remake of Magadheera. But it is newbie Ranveer Singh who has been chosen to play the role enacted by Ram Charan Teja.

Ranveer is currently busy with a film titled ‘Lootera’. He was last seen in Aditya Chopra’s ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’, which did reasonably well at the box-office in December.
