Kapoor & Sons has collected Rs 47 crore in its first week at the box office. It’s the second highest first week business of the year after Akshay Kumar’s Airlift which released in January.
The film has already recovered its costs and has emerged a ‘hit’ in just 7 days. Business at multiplexes in major cities will be affected by the Hollywood film ‘Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice’, but the impact won’t be much because Kapoor & Sons will continue to be the first choice for the family audience.
Kapoor & Sons is running on 1000 plus screens in Week 2. The second weekend business could touch the 15 crore mark, as there are two big holidays this weekend.
