Gen-x reality in Cocktail

Cocktail, the recent release starring Saif-Deepika-Diana, has found acceptance amongst the urban audience and hence it is doing good business across the high end multiplexes. Co-written by Imtiaz Ali, director Homi Adajania has brilliantly highlighted the Gen-X attitude and mentality. We all are influenced from the Western Culture obviously as they are the highly progressive countries. So we pretend to be having the so-called ‘Mod attitude’. The most common day-to-day dialogs you hear will be : ‘I wanna be myself’,’ I am an independent person’,’ I live life on my own terms’,’ I enjoy life to the fullest, who cares about tomorrow’ and the list goes on.

Best Sunny Deol Movie Scenes and Dialogues

If there is one hero in the Hindi Film Industry, whose dialogue delivery and sheer energy is enough to make a villian tremble, then undoubtedly its Bollywood’s most popular action superstar Sunny Deol. His unmatched punch-lines combined with the fearless red-eyed look has made him probably the best natural action hero that India has ever seen. Today, there is no one quite like Sunny Deol. Gone are the days of real raw action, now we only get to  see edited and artificial stuff. The credit for which goes more to the action director, cameramen and body doubles.. than the actors. There are numerous scenes where his thunderous presence has given me goose bumps. The top 5 most unforgettable scenes are as mentioned below:

Hrithik Roshan’s Best Performances: Top 5

Several readers have been requesting for our list of Hrithik Roshan’s Best Performances. Here it is! 1. Agneepath – It’s been 5 months now since the film released and it’s been hard to get over Hrithik’s performance in Agneepath.  The revenge-filled blood-soaked eyes when Vijay Dinanath Chauhan returns to Mandwa (see the attached image) is easily my favorite scene in the film. What makes this performance more special, is the sheer enormity of reprising one of Amitabh Bachchan’s most iconic characters. One step wrong and Hrithik would have been at the receiving end of severe criticism. Performance rating – 5 / 5.

An analysis on Akshay Kumar’s career by Indicine reader Abhishek Sharma. There was no mention of the Filmfare Power Award at the Filmfare this year and just when we started Filmfare has quite sensibly decided to scrap the infamous award, they have released the Powerlist for 2008 – 2009. Again like every year, the list is full of suprises.
