Stay order on ‘Bommarillu’

A court has issued stay order on the exhibition of the blockbuster film ‘Bommarillu’. A writer from Guntur, Ramamurthi filed a case claiming that the story of the film was lifted from the story ‘Prema’ his compilation ‘Amelo Emundi’. The court imposed the stay on the rights of copyright infringement.

The film was made by Dil Raju on the Venkateswara Creations banner and directed by Bhaskar, who also provided the story and the screenplay. The film was released in August 2006 and made business in crores. The writer wants a share in the profits in lieu of copyright violation.
