Zila Ghaziabad has collected Rs 3.5 crore on it’s opening day at the box office. The film has fared well on single screens at mass centres, but was a wash-out at multiplexes where few shows even had to be cancelled.
The first day collections, however, is more than the lifetime collections of Vivek Oberoi’s last two releases – Kismat Love Paisa Dilli (2.5 crore) and Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story (under 3 cr).
The reports are negative, but the first weekend collections of Zila Ghaziabad are likely to cross the 10 crore mark.
Compared to the other release this week, the Sanjay Dutt – Arshad Warsi – Vivek Oberoi starrer had a much wider 1300+ screen release. While Kai Po Che released on 800 crores in India.
