We keep getting a lot of questions on the word-of-mouth and verdicts of 2017 films. We have compiled a list of almost all film releases this year and included two columns; one for the verdict and the other for word-of-mouth.
‘Bahubali 2’, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, ‘Hindi Medium’ and ‘Jolly LLB 2’ are the only four outright winners this year. Sridevi’s MOM is carrying positive reports, it could join the list of successful films, if it manages to hold after the release of ‘Jagga Jasoos’ next week.

Out of 30 films so far, only 4 of them managed to emerge as clean hits(including a dubbed film), one of the worst years for Bollywood. The second half can either make it worse or do some good for the industry. July hardly offers anything exciting. Mom looks a winner. Munna Micheal might do very well at single screens. JHMS has failed to generate interest. If the trailer doesn’t click, then best would be semi-hit. TEPK is made on a reasonable budget and could be big. Padmavati is risky. Films like Jagga Jasoos, Mubarakan and A Gentleman don’t look much promising. Judwaa 2, Golmaal Again, Secret Superstar and TZH are the other big films this year.
@Indicine, Tubelight crossed 100 crores and Salman has refunded 65 Crores to distributors. Still it’s a flop to you!
But Ra.One with a bigger budget earned less than Tubelight and caused a bigger loss to the distributors. Still it’s a HIT to you. Is your brain working properly?

Kaabil should be a Hit as it had very tight budget of arround 50-60cr & the film was sold to distributor at the same amount of value of d budget. But if Indicine is also going with 89cr Budget quoted by Boxofficeindia then I am sorry to say both the sites have lost their mind as the 2013 biggest release Krrish3 budget was 90cr.

How a film like Kaabil which was made on the budget of 35 cr + 15cr PP nd collected 103cr as per your site it considered as semihit i dont know…Now if u consider Hrithiks fees in his home production thn its like giving Hell…Nd i know no body will support here…
u did survey?? Just on the basis of business don’t analysis WOM…you should do a little survey outside a theatre when the movie gets release and post it on the movie release day itself…!

I ain’t counting Tees Maar Khan 2010 Christmas release which collected just 70 crs coz it was a Non Star (Akshay) Starred film, so it’ll be unfair to count a non star film with Bigger stars.
But according to this list SRK is the biggest loser who spoiled Christmas 2 times (2011 & 2015)
and spoiled Diwali many times (Uncountable).
but his shamelss fans are bashing Salman for Tubelight LMAO…. Tubelight still collected way better than SRK’s film on festival…

Don 2’s Budget was 110 crs and collected 106 crs
Tubelight’s Budget is 100 crs and collecting 120 crs

Again next year inflated no.s by more than 10 crs so people will call him biggest opener – HNY from 93 crs ro 107 crs…. But no one got fooled by this tactics of srk and film crashed on weekdays… but he was successful during CE time…. And Raees is the new example.. That’s enough to prove srk’s smartness.
