Madhuri Dixit who turns 44 today, is arguably the greatest Hindi actress ever. Her songs are evergreen and so are her movies. For decades, her smile made millions of hearts flutter and her dance moves are popular to this date. Apart from the four Best Actress Filmfare Awards that she won for films like Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Hum Aapke Hai Kaun, Beta and Dil, Madhuri is also the recipient of the Padma Shri, India’s fourth highest civilian award.
Happily married and currently living in the United States, Madhuri’s last appearance on the big screen – Aaja Nachle – was a box office disaster. In 2010, she returned to India to judge a reality dance show Jhalak Dikhlaja 4 and news is that she has signed Soham Shah’s next film, which was announced today on her birthday!
Madhuri will return to the big screen in a Sanjay Dutt film which is a remake of the 1982 Amitabh Bachchan – Hema Malini starrer, Satte Pe Satta. The movie will be directed by Soham Shah and will be co-produced by Sanjay Dutt and Ashtavinayak.
