2015 proved to be a turning point in the careers of two promising future stars, Varun Dhawan and Ranveer Singh, who were seen in mega-grossers like Bajirao Mastani, Dilwale and ABCD 2.
On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor, touted as the most promising actor of his generation, had the worse year of his career when Bombay Velvet didn’t even manage a face-saving opening at the box office. A film made on a budget of 100 crore plus, finished with lifetime business of Rs 24 crore. All eyes were then on Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha, a film also starring Deepika Padukone in the lead. The result was better compared to a disaster like Bombay Velvet, but Tamasha was a box office failure nonetheless.
Sushant Singh Rajput and Sidharth Malhotra also delivered the biggest disappointments of their careers, as the audience rejected Detective Byomkesh Bakshi and Brothers.
Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor, who was riding high on the success of Gunday and 2 States, opened the year with Tevar when PK was still going strong at the box office. After a decent weekend, Tevar didn’t sustain and eventually failed at the box office.
As for Shahid Kapoor, 2016 was no different from the rest of his career. Almost all his films hold promise, but very few deliver.
2016 will be a big year for all the actors that we just mentioned. Varun Dhawan returns with Dishoom, Ranveer Singh will be seen in Aditya Chopra’s directorial venture Befikre, Ranbir Kapoor has Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Anurag Basu’s much-delayed Jagga Jasoos.
Arjun will be seen in Half Girlfriend and R.Balki’s Ki and Ka. Aditya Roy Kapur, who makes a comeback after the disastrous Daawat-e-Ishq, makes a comeback with Fitoor. Shahid’s big release for 2016 will be Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon and Udta Punjab.
Sidharth Malhotra has Kapoor & Sons and Baar Baar Dekho.
Ramesh Taurani’s son Girish returns after 2013’s Ramaiya Vastavaiya in a film titled Loveshhuda. Sushant has MS Dhoni biopic.

Dilwale was a bad film for Varun just like Brothers was for Sidharth, because verdict matters not collections.
Ranbir is still far bigger then Varun Dhawan. ! He will prove it in 2016 .
Sushant singh is the most underrated youngster according to me.Maybe it’s because of his reclusive nature since he isn’t in the news all the time for his relationship rumors. He was terrific in kai po che and dbb.
I don’t see aditya sid and arjun sustaining in the long run.
Varun has been lucky to have been part of some big movies.He was pathetic in Abcd2.Whenever he sobbed I felt like laughing.
Ranveer ranbir and shahid are already in the big league according to me.They may have ups and downs but they have cemented a permanent place for themselves

Rangoon and udta punjab. Both will be master piece. Udta punjab is a story about drug absue and rangoon is about world war ll. My grandfather is indian army who have fought in world war ll.

I have voted for 3 movies – Udta Punjab, MS Dhoni and Rangoon . I have not just taken into account actors but also the movie, cast and the director . I am not at all excited for Dishoom, ADHM, JJ, Baaghi, A Flying Jatt, Fitoor, Baar Baar Dekho and Loveshuddha . As for Befikre, Ki and Ka, Kapoor & Sons and Half Girlfriend i will wait for the trailers to decide whether to watch or not . If all goes well 2016 will be a good year for Shahid . Both UP and Rangoon are looking different and both are looking performance oriented roles . UP is based on Substance Abuse in Punjab and Rangoon is based on World War 2 with a Romantic Backdrop . I am not a huge fan of Sushant and MS Dhoni but i am a huge fan of Neeraj Pandey who is the director of MS Dhoni . So if all goes well it will be the Biggest Hit of SSR . Befikre is also looking interesting and Adi Chopra is pretty good . But he is coming back after the gap of 8 years . So i am not 100 % sure about the movie . So this will be a exciting and competitive year for youngsters as well as seniors . Let’s hope the Best One Wins !!!!!!!

Sushant did’nt got his due for Byomkesh bakshy,he was terrific! But since the film flopped,no one talked about it.
But MSD biopic will be a big commercial film,I am expecting it to be a 100crs grosser even if it will be a decent film.Dhoni factor will help a lot to bring audiences to theatre!
