Aamir Khan’s Dangal has almost managed to double the second week collections of the second highest grosser of 2016 – Salman Khan’s Sultan. The difference between the two films in the second week is 86%. However, it has to be noted that the 2nd week of Sultan was its 10th to 16th day, because it released on Wednesday and had a extended 9-day first week.
The other films simply pale in comparison. Dangal has collected 4 times more than another critically acclaimed film like Airlift. It has collected nearly 2.5 times more than Diwali release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay combined!
The collections are also 10 times more than the second week of FAN and 5 times more than Housefull 3.
Dangal has also become the only film in history to collect more than 100 crore in the second week. Only 6 other Hindi films have crossed the 100 crore mark in their lifetime this year!
These are staggering numbers to say the least and the best is yet to come as Dangal could way beyond the 350 crore mark.

Seriously talking, i have lot of expectations from dangal and review and people on social media says it is a masterpiece but in reality, i found it a avg. Movie. Truly overated film. I am fan of amirs films but it disappointed me.

@ indicine why are you overhyping dangal and are obsessed with its collections, agreed that it will collect almost 400 crores, however, you should also consider it was a Christmas release with 4 open weeks, no competition. Also Aamir khan releases his movies once in 2 years. Compare that to akshay kumar, in 2 years he has done almost 10 films whose combined collection is almost 800 crores. Bollywood cannot sustain with festive releases only

@ Indicine we are all proud of Dangal and it’s mind boggling collections but when you make comparisons endeavor to point out all the salient points . Two weeks of dangal include Xmas Eve, Xmas day, boxing day, new yrs Eve and new yr day. Not to mention all schools and colleges are closed this period. Sultan has jus two days half holidays.

Right now he is struggling to cross 90 cr and with rice the 2nd week collections will be even less than the 100 times of 200 cr i.e. 20 cr so shut up and stop farting. His highest grosser with top female lady deepika is still at 227 cr which is too less than aamir’s 3rd highest grosser. Have some shame you mug.
