Aamir Khan’s Dangal has almost managed to double the second week collections of the second highest grosser of 2016 – Salman Khan’s Sultan. The difference between the two films in the second week is 86%. However, it has to be noted that the 2nd week of Sultan was its 10th to 16th day, because it released on Wednesday and had a extended 9-day first week.
The other films simply pale in comparison. Dangal has collected 4 times more than another critically acclaimed film like Airlift. It has collected nearly 2.5 times more than Diwali release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay combined!
The collections are also 10 times more than the second week of FAN and 5 times more than Housefull 3.
Dangal has also become the only film in history to collect more than 100 crore in the second week. Only 6 other Hindi films have crossed the 100 crore mark in their lifetime this year!
These are staggering numbers to say the least and the best is yet to come as Dangal could way beyond the 350 crore mark.

It will be very difficult to break this record as movies tends to show to a huge drop in the 2nd week . Dangal definitely proves once again that no one utilises Festival dates better than Aamir Khan . Aamir Khan as a producer has made smart choices – Lagaan, TZP, Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Jaana and Dangal . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trend of dangal is excellent. If dangal sustain well this week than even 400 cr is achievable.
So it proves that only content is not king.content plus stardom is the real king on box office.agar sirf content king hota toh naseerudin shah,Nana patekar,irfan,nawaz,manoj bajpai inki movies 200-300 cr karti air ye sabse bade superstar note.content k sath stardom bhi chahiye.

I said it earlier on last yr that I didnt mind which 1 out of Dangal or Sultan wins the CLASH OF HGOTY bcoz to me it was abit like watching Ric Flair vs Sting from the 1990 WCW days- both were legends n you were always guaranteed a masterclass performance…!

bcz sultan had no holidays on its 2nd week(except sunday).it was a full normal week. but Dangal had full holiday week. new year time sab jagah chutti hi rehta hai.have some common sense man.
p.s. – I am not a salman fan & dangal is a damn overrated.
