Vishwaroopam starring Kamal Hassan is one of the costliest films, made on a budget of 150 crores! Sonakshi Sinha was initially cast to play the female lead, but dropped out later, which was one of the reasons why the film got delayed.
Vishwaroopam has been simultaneously shot in three different languages – Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Apart from playing the lead role, Kamal Hassan has written the screenplay, dialogues and also directed it.
Bollywood actor Rahul Bose plays the antagonist, while director Shekhar Kapur has a small cameo. New York based model-turned-actress Pooja Kumar has been cast opposite Kamal Hassan.
Vishwaroopam is scheduled to release in theaters on July 13th 2012.
