Vishwaroop – Kamal Hassan

Vishwaroop is a bilingual film – produced, written and directed by the legendary Kamal Hassan. Titled Vishwaroopam in Tamil and Vishwaroop in Hindi, the film also stars Rahul Bose, Rahul Bose, Andrea Jeremiah, Jaideep Ahlawat and Shekhar Kapur (cameo).

Made on a budget of approximately 150 crores, Vishwaroop is one of the costliest films ever made in India. After a prolonged pre-production stage, the film went on floors in August 2011 after Kamal Hassan took over the directorial reigns from Selvaraghavan.

Vishwaroop is a spy-thriller filmed in cities like Chennai, London and Jordan.  It’s scheduled for theatrical release in August 2012.

  • Unfortunately…..though being Smaller..South Indian industry..is getting much more advance than bollywood….they are taking much more risks..and getting more creative..while bollywood is ruining itself..with MASALA..

  • At some point I really agree with Ashkaran,that bollywood are copying south movies that makes sense that bollywood is loosing its creativity but at the same time there is no sense of not making “MASALA” movies….They should be made but should not be a copied from south….
