Tamil superstar Vijay, who is currently busy shooting for Thuppakki (directed by A R Murugadoss of Ghajini fame), was asked to do a cameo in Prabhudeva’s Rowdy Rathore. The friendly appearance was to be performed with Akshay Kumar in the song Chinta Ta.
Prabhudeva was keen on having Vijay on-board, as he had previously directed him in the south blockbuster Pokiri. On learning that Akshay Kumar was part of the song,Vijay immediately agreed. The reason? He’s a die-hard fan of Akshay.
Says Vijay “I have always been a fan of Akshay since his Khiladi days.. The promos of Rowdy Rathore are very interesting. Prabhudeva just had to ask me once and I readily agreed .They were very friendly and I won’t ever forget the experience shooting for the song”
Rowdy Rathore, directed by Prabhudeva, stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha. The film is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shabinaa Khan, It’s slated for release just after the IPL on June 1st,2012.

Vijay is good but the best star down south is Surya , may be as a south Indian you dont realize this but as a North Indian who is well travelled ,I can say Surya is the most universal star , guys like his personality can be hero just anywhere be it even Hollywood .Like Hrithik he is a complete star with 10 on 10 in looks and talent
Completely agree Sid ,Singham force or Gajani all were copies of Surya and I have seen the dubbed versions of original none could look as good as Surya did . BTW I am a Punjabi and dont understand a word of Tamil . I also liked that actor who played Ram in Ravan against Abhishek Bachchan
vijay is a good actor.he prefer to give chance for new director.he is very simplicity and humble person.suriya is dependent for others film. no one director can create own flim for suriya.south indians films are waste i accepted but why they are remake south indians flim.In north all the block buster flims are depend upon the south indians flims like wanted,body guard,etc.this flims are already taken in tamil flims…………….in south suriyaaaaa is waste……………
