The first trailer (teaser) video of Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminay is out. The film starring Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in the lead is Vishal’s follow up to the Omkara, a film that received high critical acclaim and many awards but flopped miserably at the box office.
Kaminay is about identical twins (Shahid Kapoor) hoping to leave the squalor (dirty) past behind and move on into a life of prosperity and dignity. On the run to protect themselves, their love and their dreams, the brothers at one point bump into each other…
Kaminay is produced by Ronnie Screwvala (UTV Motion Pictures) and is all set to release on June 5th, 2009. Kaminay also stars Amol Gupte, the creative director and first director of Taare Zameen Par!!

From the trailer I could say that this must be Shahid Kapoor’s best movie or performance.. we can’t be sure only when the movie is out.. if it’s TZP’s director, then it must be good. I loved Omkara and it was one of the best indian movies which I saw so far.
priyanka is really good, but shahiad is just over-rated, he is a no good actor, this movie wont do good!
Two of my fav movies are Maqbool and Omkara, I am very much looking forward to it. If the trailer is anything to go by, this one seems just as good as the other two….VB at his best, original Indian mafia stories!
The trailer looks awesome! AND! Shahid is not an over-rated actor.. After giving smashing movies like Jab we met and Vivah, one shouldn’t say that he is a bad actor;)..
