His best film is Badlapur. HSKD was a fairly enjoyable movie. Varun was good in both of the movies.
Main Tera Hero was full of overacting. But still I enjoyed its few parts.
As for Student of the year, It was not that good. But I enjoyed this film. I love watching such youthful movies based on student life and friendship. Such films mayn’t have a great content. But they hardly bore the audience.

Nobody can deny that Varun is the most popular youngster in Bollywood currently . He is not the most talented but he has something that people love . I don’t know what is that thing ? He is Handsome absolutely no doubt on that . He has a good physique but Sid has a better physique than him . He is a good Dancer but i don’t know why people call him a great Dancer . Out of these 5 movies i have seen 3 . I have not seen Badlapur and ABCD 2 . I don’t like Varun to be very honest . I don’t hate him its just that i don’t like him . Dilwale will be another feather in his cap because the movie has SRK and Kajol and it also releasing on Christmas . So this will be 6 out of 6 . But 2016 will be a Acid Test for Varun . Till now Varun has 2 movies in 2016 Dhishoom and Shuddhi . Dhishoom stars Varun, John and Jacqueline . It is directed by Rohit Dhawan the elder brother of Varun . The next one is Shuddhi . It is directed by Karan Malhotra . It also stars Alia Bhatt . This is the most important movie of Varun according to me . He has replaced Hrithik and Salman . This is the most difficult movie of Varun Performance Wise as well as Box Office Wise . So Best of Luck Varun for your future . Please improve your Acting and Dialogue Delivery as soon as possible .

Badlapur was not hit, it was above average, same as mein tera hero.
Dilwale is a masala film and currently clashing with BM). Its not going to be a classic like hahk ddlj 3 idiots etc that will significantly increase his reach with masses. Moreover he has a supporting role in the film. He needs his own hahk, ddlj, raja hindustani or even yjhd to break through to the top league.

Varun has been featured in a number of high end quality films, these films, due to well written scripts and contributing actors elevate Varun’s performance beyond his actual ability.
Varun is good when it comes to rom com for example HSKD and MTH but when asked to perform intense emotional scenes its hard to argue against the fact Varun over acts.
Anyway, Varun has a long way to go and he really needs to improve his acting skills.

Some might argue that he is not a good actor but I think comedy is his forte..so he can manage romcoms quite comfortably.He was good in badlapur if not great.His screen presence and charming looks ensure the rest.His dialogue delivery sucks but I hope he will only improve from here..I don’t think even Khans or Kumar were perfect actors right from their first film.
Besides that he is an exceptional dancer.
Also he is really humble,hardworking and equanimous while giving interviews.
Waiting for Dilwale..I quite loved that song lut Gaya pyaar Mein which he recently shot in Bulgaria..
