After Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan, who were previously announced as the lead stars of Karan Malhotra’s ambitious film ‘Shuddhi’, it will be Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt who will be headlining the film.
Karan Johar made the announcement on Twitter “And finally..SHUDDHI starring VARUN DHAWAN and ALIA BHATT…directed by KARAN MALHOTRA..”
Director Malhotra tweeted “SHHUDDHI starts immediately after BROTHERS!!!! My 3rd with Karan Johar!! Alia Bhatt & Varun Dhawan welcome aboard!!!”
Salman Khan too wished Varun on bagging the film “Kamaal karte ho Varun Dhawan…made ur dad n me so proud of u… happy Shhuddhi”
Well, after several changes to the star cast, ‘Shhuddhi’ will finally go on floors after the release of ‘Brothers’. It remains to be seen if the makers will cut down on the cost and scale of the film, now that it has a much smaller star cast as compared to superstar like Hrithik and Salman.

The fees of varun dhawan is nowhere near salman khan and hrithik roshan so the budget of the film will itself be reduced by a good 15-20 %.. This may be the first step of varun dhawan in the big league..looking forward to it.all the best

Didn’t expected but the way Salman’s films being shaped up like BB and PRDP, it looks that shuddhi won’t complete till the next diwali.
Varun is a upcoming superstar and this film can make him big if it success but have to see how much budget it has and now the film also not be hugely awaited as it would if had Salman or hr.

Though I like varun but I am not at all happy with the casting.
Varun is still in his developing phase as an actor,his dialogue delivery is still amateurish.
Also the Varun-Alia pair is being too repetitive..
Sorry to say that but I have lost all my interest in Shuddhi..
Am a huge fan of Varun so super delighted hes getting another big budget movie to showcase his huge talents after ‘Varunwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ this Xmas…!
