Actor Varun Dhawan will be replacing Salman Khan in the sequel to the 1997 comedy classic ‘Judwaa’. The film will release exactly two decades after Salman’s much-loved double role in the David Dhawan directed film.
There are reports that the second film in the ‘Judwaa’ series will be made on a big budget. It will also have plenty of action sequences along with rib-tickling comedy.
The rest of star cast is yet to be announced. The first film featured Karisma Kapoor and Rambha, both romancing Salman.
With films like Andaz Apna Apna, Judwaa and Biwi No 1, Salman was hugely popular for his comedy films back in the 90s. His comic timing was unique, which was one of the reasons why he featured in so many David Dhawan films – including one of his biggest films in the 2000s, Partner.
With David’s son Varun now making a mark in the industry and signing a film like ‘Judwaa 2’, comparisons with Salman will be inevitable. More so because, Varun is one of the few rising stars, who has slowly but steadily established a fanbase both at single-screens and multiplexes.

Extraordinary news. I liked judwaa when i had seen it long time back. Salman was very funny. Rare 90s salman film that i had actually enjoyed along with ajay devgn’s hum dil de chuke sanam.

Thanx to varun David dhawan’s career is back on track. David was a huge director in the 90s but with govinda loosing his charm and David’s scripts becoming old school his films started to flop one after another.
He made so many attempts at a comeback but all failed despite delivering a biggie like Partner in 2007.
But with Varun,David finally found a hero who could connect with the youth yet deliver a typical David dhawan kind of humour.
This is an absolutely rare case in bollywood of a son bringing Dad’s career back on track

Honestly speaking the movie is pretty avg. But dat doesn’t mean d film is a bad 1, u can enjoy d film but in portions .
First of all d film s totally based on a very weak plot , d buildup is very strong but coudnt sustain till d end. D positive s r –
A) sunny sir himself . he is still d same honest performer . he tries his best but d script doesn’t supports him DAT much. But overall he s very good in d film.
B) Narendra jha as a business tycoon. Brilliant .he hits d bulls eye .
C) Editing n BGM s pretty good also.n d supporting casts r also decent.
But d main problems r d poor Vfx n SFX, lack of punch lines n d last 15-20 minutes of d film.
Sunny deol s a Legend n whenever he gets angry on sceen , that’s a treat for every 1 I think.
But its my personal feeling that d film lacks d anger n passion of original Ghayal.
But still u can watch n enjoy d film .
So, Go n watch #GhayalOnceAgain if u relived d old school action once again.

Solo starrers will not score 150-200 but he will get there slowly and steadily. Judwaa sequel can get him the required popularity in small towns while something like badlapur helps him connect with multiplexes
