Uday Chopra to retire after Dhoom 3!

Actor Uday Chopra, popular only for his role in Dhoom films, has decided to quit acting after Dhoom 3.

The actor tweeted “Ok confession time… Dhoom 3 is my swan song… my last film… no I’m not giving up acting… quite the opposite, acting is giving up on me!”

Known for his coming timing, Uday made his silver screen debut with two legends – Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan – in Mohabbatein directed by his brother Aditya Chopra. He then appeared in series of duds like Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Supari, Charas and then Dhoom happened in 2004 which increased his fan-following tremendously.

Sadly, casting Uday in lead roles never really seemed to work and Yashraj’s Neal n Nikki and Pyaar Impossible which was also written by him were the final nails in the coffin.

Uday will be next seen in Dhoom 3 which will be his last film as an actor!

Maybe he should take up direction now and follow in the footsteps of his father and brother?
