Two Endings for Ek Deewana Tha

Apart from A.R Rahman’s soulful music, the fresh pairing of Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson will fun to watch. And if that’s not enough, in an official statement, Fox Star India has announced that Ek Deewana Tha will have two different endings.

So how exactly will they manage the two different versions? Well, Ek Deewana Tha is the remake of a South Indian film Vinnaithandi Varuvaya and that film had a sad ending. The makers probably feared that the ending may not go down too well with the Hindi audience. Hence, director Menon will be releasing the happy ending on 500+ screens across India. The other ending will be a special director’s cut, which will be released only in 20 elite theaters.

The advertisement at theaters will highlight if the movie has a happy ending or the director’s cut as well. Vijay Singh from Fox Star India has confirmed the news.

Ek Deewana Tha releases this weekend (17th February 2012).
