Tusshar Kapoor on the remake of his dad’s film Himmatwala

Tusshar Kapoor, who is looking forward to the release of his adult comedy ‘Kya Super Kool Hain Hum’, wants to work on the remakes of his father Jeetendra’s films.

“I would want to do ‘Caravan’ or ‘Farz’. ‘Caravan’ is more my age, it was a comedy as well” said Tusshar on being quizzed on which of his father’s film he would like to remake.

With Sajid Khan roping in Ajay Devgan for the ‘Himmatwala’ remake, Tusshar feels that Ajay is the right choice for the role as his father was in his 40s while doing that film.

The 35 year old actor who worked with Ajay in the ‘Golmaal’ series, says “I have worked with him, I think he is the most appropriate choice for that film. I am happy that a great team like Sajid Khan and Ajay Devgn are bringing back such a big film.”

“I am dying to see it and I am sure Ajay will give it his own spin and he’ll make it as good as the first, I am sure,” he added.

Appreciating his dad’s film, Tusshar said “Himmatwala is a huge brand and during those days it was a trendsetting film. That film started the trend of heroes and heroines dancing together, people called it a P.T. exercise at that time, but that trend has been going on for 30 years now. I think ‘Himmatwala’ is the film where that started”

Himmatwala, which was first made in 1983, also featured Sridevi. The remake stars Ajay Devgan and south Indian actress Tamanna.
