All his releases from 2010 feature in the Top 10 and even those films that released 6-7 years ago – Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Om Shanti Om – are still amongst the biggest openers.
The weekend business of Dhoom 3 is the 4th highest of all time, behind My Name Is Khan (All time record), Chennai Express and Ra One.

@Sakhi: Good article..but he doesn’t deserve it…He has been there around 25+ years in industry and i dont know why he is popular there. He hasn’t won even one Oscar award nor any major national award in india…not a founder of any 100 , 200 & 300 cr club in India…Except his Chennai Express no film of his was close to record breaking…..except long back OSO…He should stop acting in India and should go to UK to do some movies there so that he still reamins popular there for another 20 yrs…..
@karthik good joke you should know even salman is the same(instead of hahk and maine pyare kiya)and aamir was flop actor before 2008 and talking about record breakin movies then you should know that at times of 1992 a movie came by the name of hahk which collect more than 60 crores at times when movies were struggling to cross 10crores
that is why the movies can,t cross it but he was the one who always give tough competition to it karan arjun cross 30 crores and ddlj also cross 60 crores and kkhh ,devdas mohabbatien also crossed more than 30 or 40 croes and what about cdi,oso and rbdj and you should know that he is the one who have highest numbers of highest grossing movies in a year

what i have seen from the list i think srk fans haven’t, first of all thanx indicine posting for this.
two important points,
1. till 2010 srk was ruling overseas single handedly and was so popular there that even his non holiday release MNIK grossed 1.4mllion $ in just 3 days
2.Aamir and Salman even don’t have a movie in the list before 2011. so they have mnot major market there.
but most important thing is that even srk stardom is also slighly decreased or been stable so that his last 4 releases CE,JTHJ,Don, & Raone was not beaten the collection of mnik weekend and point to be noted that this list is for weekend not for lifetime so as we weekend collection mostly depend on star power, so even srk overseas growth in UK was stopped, this is shown by list itself not by me.and Salman and Aamir even entered in the list with movie like ETT,Bodyguard & D3, it means there market has been increasing there while srk ‘s not.so it is something tobe noted for srkians that this is only market remain whose wasn’t beaten by D3, rest all were broken by big margin. but here is also srk stardom is stable not increase.
so if srk wasn’t able to beat his 2010 release weekend nos how we can call him that he ruled overseas now a days, by having all movies in the list is not sufficient to prove you have to give a solid movie who can up your sardom, for srk this is absent all over the overseas circuit, and we also note one thing even screen size also been increased since MNIK to CE with every srk release.
@yymithaiwala don’t worry best movie award of Filmfare will go to Chennai express & Best actor for SRK, don’t bring Ghajini because we all know how massively it thrashed RNBDJ in 2008.
there was constant comment of srk fans if srk would in D3 than it will collect even more, even some salman fans also think, first of all it might be right if it happen? but those who have seen D3 will agree with my words why Aditya Chopra choose Aamir for d3 instead of yrf favorite SRK, the reason the kind of hardwork, training & acting require for d3 script for Aamir’s character, i doubt Srk or salman would agree to do that, be frankly we have never seen srk or salman to work very hard for their physique and other requirement for a particular role, though here Salman have one factor in favour of him and that is his commendable physique and same wise srk has his Anti hero success records in favour of him, but the kind of hardwork & dedication require for d3 role can only done by either Aamir or HR, because they already tested and worked with HR in prequal of dhoom, that’s why yrf choosen Aamir, and there is no doubt how well Aamir excelled in that Role surely a superb performance and that’s y he said that this is his toughest role so far.
other excuse if ce & k3 has 3 open week,huge screen size etc etc with them than they will be much success, first of all who stop srk & Roshan to select packed release month like August & november, and the biggest answer of If for srkians is that If Salamn would have his release in this eid,2013 than there will be no record breaking or highest grosser ever for srk in form of ce till 2013.

This is for those who are thinking Srk fans are sad about Dhoom3 records. Firts of all, box office records are fragile. They are broken all the time. Today Dhoom3 broke a few records and then probably Jai Ho will break its records, then again Happy New Year and Kick. So there is nothing to be too happy about it. Real achievement is in award and people’s love. By the way, Aamir never broke a record all by himself. In 3 idiots, there was madhvan. In Dhoom3, it was Abhishekh and Uday. Others like Salman and Srk made their records without the help of any major male characters. Also Dhoom is a brand that already was popular. Now it is no more like that because of Dhoom3 which is getting negative word of mouth reviews from everywhere. Its still doing good because of the huge no of screens and free run. With that even Raj Pal Yadav can become overnight superstar.
Making cost of D3 is around 150 cr n 70 for CE. So even if D3 does a business of 300 cr it will not give more profit than CE, plus no of screen are 900 more than CE.
