In an interview with Hindustan Times, Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has said he has spoken to Shah Rukh Khan about the box office clash between Raees and Kaabil.
Roshan said he told the actor that both films are not going to gain from the clash and added that he has no ego issues. It’s superstition, he said, that’s stopping him from changing the release date of his film.
“We have met a couple of times. I have told him that nobody is going to gain out of this clash. I have also explained to him that I can’t shift my film’s release date, as I am a little superstitious. I would have changed the date had I not announced the film. I don’t have an ego.”
Roshan added that announcing a film after knowing that there is another film scheduled to arrive on the same day is ‘unethical’.
“I had announced my film in February last year. A sudden announcement about the release of another movie is a little unethical. However, I can’t stop any film from releasing on the same day” Roshan said.
SRK told the same thing to you much before you did .
Ajay Devgan’s Baadshaho was supposed to release on 26th when Rakesh ji announced Kaabi’s date . So who started the fight …?
Raees has to avert the clash from Kaabil. If clash happens, Raees will suffer more than Kaabil..!! Hope the clash gets averted as both Raees and Kaabil will do great business if comes out solo..!!!
But yet this cheapko is sticking to the clash like his film Rice has been attached to the date with Fevicol.
Why doesn’t he release on Pluto or director on YouTube on earth. These are all free dates and free spaces for releases..
Doesn’t matter to me because I’ll be watching both Raees and Kaabil , even if Kaabil manages to get average reviews .

If I have booked a particular date for a movie, how on earth can it be unethical if another movie is annonced for the same date. May be your movie would have nkt been comlleted due to techinical issue. Who knows.
There are only 52 weeks in a year. More than 100 movies release per year. You mean only 52 movies shoud be allowed to release in a year. Only those 52 movies who announce their movies before are “ethical” releases. Rest of the movie makers commited a sin to release their movies on the same date.

Shivaay and ADHM shouldn’t have clashed at the box office. Shivaay needs 160+ crore to get hit tag whereas ADHM needs 130-140 crore to get hit tag. This means one film will surely crush another one. This is all happening due to ego of Karan Johar and some bollywood conspiracies against Ajay Devgn.
In fact this is the clash between 1 film old inexperienced superstar director vs 5/6 films old bollywood so-called biggest director.
For the film to get success at the box office, vision and determined ideas of director is needed and not past records. The trailer of both the films have already proved it and this diwali, it will get on everybody’s mind.
Clashing Raees with a movie declared previously was a very cheap and unethical movie from Shahrukh. shame.
