Teri Meri Kahaani has collected Rs 5 crores on Day 1 at the Indian box-office. The figures are about 30% lower than Mausam, which did Rs 6.75 crores of business on it’s opening day.
Since the Friday numbers are low, an upward trend on Saturday and Sunday will be crucial. The response from the critics has been mixed, with the film scoring 45% on our review scale.
The other release this week, Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur has collected approximately Rs 3.25 crores on Day 1.
Both the films have fared poorly at single screens, where Rowdy Rathore remains the first choice.
